this latest CD from Secret Garden continues to blend the Irish and the Norwegian musical traditions. If you enjoyed "You raise me up" sung by Russel Watson, Barbra Streisand or Westlife, you may not have realised the song was written by Rolf Loffland of Secret Garden. Advantages: Funky, Catchy and it is Satch

I bought this album from my local store and i have got to say that i wasn't overly impressed by this offering from Joe but the more you listen to it, the more you get a sense of the musical genius of Satch. Overall its a very mysterious album with some funky songs. But it seems like Joe is content with continuing to do what he is good at and not branching out like most other contemporary artist e.g Vai, Johnson and Gilbert which is fine by me but ...
...Good points include catchy tunes like 'I Just Wanna Rock' and 'Diddle-Y-A-Doo-Dat' that make this album exciting whereas ballads such as 'Andulusia' give the album a bit of drama and sadness. Mysterious tunes include 'Musterion' give the album a bit of edge. Bad points include a lack of experimentation and the fact that Joe seems content with this. Never the less this is a good album that Joe Satriani fans like myself will be content with. Overall ... Read review
