DVD Review If you are into contemporary jazz or simply just want to hear something new and refreshing, this DVD will surely captivate your heart as it has captured mine. Michael Buble (I cannot find the special 'e' character to denote a specific pronunciation of his last name. But yeah, it is pronounced with two syllables) who has I believe brought back to life Jazz in its more refreshing tune was sensational in this concert of his in Wiltern Theater ... ...singing some hits of the past breathtakingly effortless. This concert just made me love Michael Buble more. I especially like Michael Buble's duet with Laura Pausini on "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine." It is romantic and swaying and it reminds me of Robbie William and Nicole Kidman's "Something Stupid". "Feeling Good" is also my favorite in the concert. ...It Is sounds like blues, it's just like milder version of SRV with piano instead of guitar, but it still sound consistent with the rest of the tracks, bringing freshness to this jazzy climate. Song For You is definitely a highlight of this CD with Chris Botti, an established trumpeter, playing nice, atmospheric passages through this track. Classic Frank Sinatra's interpretation of this tune needs no introduction, because I've Got You Under My ... ...his way with elegance and a touch. Stevie Wonder's You And I closes the album with gentle sounds of piano and orchestra. There are two bonus tracks Dream a Little Dream and Mack the Knife appearing on this CD. Well, brought together this CD is a very good choice for romantic night with your partner, as I said before, but if you want to listen to it in a car you might find youself driving off road sometimes. enjoy listening! ...

There is a current resurgence in solo female artists making chilled out atmospheric music, Dido obviously springs to mind amongst others. What we should not forget is that it is a style that has always been in evidence and one of the best innovators of the genre is Enya. What you first notice about the music is its haunting quality and the use of vocals as much as an instrument as to deliver specific lyrics. About half the tracks are instrumental ... ...Spanish and Gaelic are all used. This is not as off putting as it may seem as this is not the sort of album you would sing along to. The words blend in to be more part of the music than something that sits on top.
It is very much a back ground sound and creates a soft and relaxing vibe. Even though it contains the single Anywhere Is, its not really an album where individual tracks matter, only the overall feel of the piece. Where as the current ...

Paint the Sky with Stars by Enya is a classic album. Every track is excellent and so relaxing to listen to, one song just flows into another and great to listen to when you want to unwind after a hard day’s work. She has a haunting voice that gives me a tickle on the back of my neck; I could listen to her for hours. Let me take you through the album. Track one: The famous ‘Orinoco Flow’ this is a chirpy song and the chorus line every so often ‘Sail ... ...drums. What a great choice for the start of the album. Track two: ‘Caribbean Blue’ with its soft strumming guitar start, and then she starts to sing. Her voice is something else. If you close your eyes you can imagine the tide ebbing in and out, I can almost feel the water lapping around my feet. Track three: ‘Book of Days’ a piano plays all the way through this very catchy track and the background choristers really compliment Enya here. Track four: ...

A cover of a very old Shaker hymn. Also a single and has an accompanying video. This is a haunting song. 4. ... ...movie. One of my all time favourite tracks. Enya sings in Gaelic about the traditional "waulking songs" sung by women and used when fulling cloth. Waulking songs are unique to the Outer Hebrides.
5. Angeles
Another haunting song, which rumoured took months to complete. The rich texture of the vocals is astounding! Nearly 1000 layers!
6. No holly for Miss Quinn
Another instrumental. Quite beautiful and easy to play if you are good at the piano!
