Uninhabited. Ambient Sounds of Nature
Advantages: A wonderful symphony Disadvantages: None
...I am a fan of ambient music. By this I mean music that employs the ambient sounds of nature, melding and mixing them with newly-composed pieces of music. This type of music has been around for many, many years. An early example which you might have heard is the Nightingale recorded by the BBC in 1920 when it sang along to the cello playing of Beatrice Harrison. It really is a delightful piece, still re-broadcast every-so-often by the BBC to this ... ...might not be in the same class as that tiny little Nightingale, but it is a really suburb CD. The tracks are Tempestuous, Turblent, Rolling booms, Passionate, Uninhabited (the title track) and Random Flashes. The performance is by Levantis. Each piece uses modern music combined with natural sounds (the voices of humans, rain sticks, animals, the elements and more) to create a truly delightful and melodic combination of the sounds of the natural world ...

Expanse of Colour
Advantages: Very relaxing Disadvantages: None
Expanse of Colour is another CD in the "ambient sounds of nature" series. There seems to be a minor error in the Ciao catalogue. It lists the artistes involved in the "ambient sounds of nature" series as being "various artists." The credits on the CDs in my collection show that the composer and performer on the CDs is Levantis.
The tracks on this CD are: Past, The Womb of Mother Earth, Expanse of Colour (the title track of this CD) Density of Life, ... ...the series, Levantis takes some sounds from nature (ambient sounds) such as singing birds, crickets, and blends them into a perfect with some rather gorgeous and lush music.
Unlike some of the so-called relaxing CDs that are on the market which rely on rather weedy electro-pap music created on ill-tuned synthesisers, the music of Levantis is created using real musical sounds, such as piano, pipes, drums, strings, and a well-tuned synthesiser. The ...

I just haven't met him yet!!
Advantages: Some of his own songs, some classics Disadvantages: None
...Georgia On My Mind and Crazy Love to name but a few. In my opinion he does a good job with each song, putting his own spin on it but still keeping the same essence of each song which I like. The rest of the album is as follows: "Cry Me a River" "All of Me" "Georgia on My Mind" "Crazy Love" "Haven't Met You Yet" "All I Do Is Dream of You" "Hold On" "Heartache Tonight" "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You" "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)" "At This ...

Swinging and Swaying Into The Spotlight
Advantages: A superb mix of tracks on an accomplished debut album Disadvantages: One or two weaker links.
...has been the Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. THE SINGER & ALBUM Grammy award-winning Michael Bublé burst on to the scene with his eponymous debut in 2003, which features a number of well-known covers spanning several decades of popular music. It was received extremely well by both the paying public and music critics alike, winning him the honour of Best New Talent at Canada’s 2004 Juno Awards (think the equivalent of the Brits). Along with ... ...one of my favourite George Michael songs, “Kissing A Fool”, and the Van Morrison classic “Moondance”. I bought the album on the back of hearing his rendition of “Come Fly With Me” and when I examined the track listing, I suspected he may have bitten off more than he could chew. It’s one thing to cover a Peggy Lee classic, which, perhaps a younger audience would not have heard so much – but another thing entirely to take on a consummate showman like ...

The most wonderful album
Advantages: Beautiful tracklist, lovely voice Disadvantages: None
...is a traditional hymn that Camilla performs wonderfully, recently you may have also heard Faryl Smith singing this on her sophmore album (as well as her debut) Wonderland and while both versions are beautiful, I found Camilla’s more pleasing. It could be because I’m more of a Camilla fan to be honest, but it is…pretty darn amazing! I Can’t Help Falling In Love is a song I’d only heard once before, I’d heard Mark Owen sing it on youtube and really ... ...lovely. Most people will know Camilla for this track which is good because it shows her talents very well. I had no idea what to expect with Rain, I’d never heard of it before and sadly google didn’t help me much so I listened with great curiosity. I LOVED it. It’s so bright and joyful, perfect to listen to in the springtime I think. It just conjures up lovely imagery, I can see a lovely garden and fairies, it would be perfect for a family movie ...
