Advantages: Less than an hour long. Disadvantages: Awful, awful, awful music.
My girlfriend's great, she really is. She has excellent taste in many things (boyfriends not least among them) but if there's one thing we'll never agree upon it's music. Although we both have very varied tastes, they never seem to coincide. Her CD collection consists of twangy Redneck folk, soundtracks from drippy chick-flick films she likes, dodgy compilations (ie NOW 1983) and, worst of all, this. Medwyn Goodall. I've selected this one CD, "Earth ... ...of M.G. CDs and I can't actually distinguish between them, so this will do as well as any of the others as a subject for this opinion.
There are loads CDs by Medwyn Goodall (and similar artists), all sold mail order or in those funny smelling girly shops with crap hanging from the cielings and a loads of hideous "Grey Alien" merchandise. The Medwyn Goodall CDs have names like "The way of the Dolphin", "Medicine Woman" and "Priestess, the return ...
Advantages: Very mellow music great for relaxing to Disadvantages: Not to everyone's taste
...very relaxing and inspirational.
Excalibur is the third CD of a trilogy set and is purely instrumental with no actual lyrics. The first CD is Druid (see my review) and second is Merlin (see my previous review). The set is released on the New World Company label and is available in most new age shops or on their website www.newworldmusic.com and is also available on Amazon.
The first track is "Caliburn" which is nearly 8 minutes long. This is a ... ...subtle percussion. It washes over you like a summer breeze particularly when the pan pipe comes in. Its actually a really good track for just sitting and thinking. Probably my favourite track on the album.
The next track is "Uther & Igrayne" which is quite a long track at just over 10 minutes. Whilst it has some more dramatic deep drumming, it also features the pan pipes which keep it relaxed. Oddly, there are elements in the middle which are almost ...

Druid is the first CD of a trilogy set. The second is Merlin (see my previous review) and the third is Excalibur. The set is released on the New World Company label and is available in most new age shops or on their website www.newworldmusic.com and is also available on Amazon, who incidentally have samples of each track to listen to. Unfortunately, you only get about the first 30 seconds of each track which whilst ... ...the first track.
There are five tracks in all on the album with a combined run time of approximately 42 minutes. It is a fairly short album but by the end of it you are so relaxed you are virtually horizontal, if not asleep. It is a perfect album for meditation, during a massage or just to have on in the background.
The first track is "Nine Maidens" which is just over 6 minutes. The track builds up as it progresses with a strong beat, tinkling ...
Advantages: Some of his own songs, some classics Disadvantages: None
...Georgia On My Mind and Crazy Love to name but a few. In my opinion he does a good job with each song, putting his own spin on it but still keeping the same essence of each song which I like. The rest of the album is as follows: "Cry Me a River" "All of Me" "Georgia on My Mind" "Crazy Love" "Haven't Met You Yet" "All I Do Is Dream of You" "Hold On" "Heartache Tonight" "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You" "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)" "At This ...
Advantages: A superb mix of tracks on an accomplished debut album Disadvantages: One or two weaker links.
...has been the Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. THE SINGER & ALBUM Grammy award-winning Michael Bublé burst on to the scene with his eponymous debut in 2003, which features a number of well-known covers spanning several decades of popular music. It was received extremely well by both the paying public and music critics alike, winning him the honour of Best New Talent at Canada’s 2004 Juno Awards (think the equivalent of the Brits). Along with ... ...one of my favourite George Michael songs, “Kissing A Fool”, and the Van Morrison classic “Moondance”. I bought the album on the back of hearing his rendition of “Come Fly With Me” and when I examined the track listing, I suspected he may have bitten off more than he could chew. It’s one thing to cover a Peggy Lee classic, which, perhaps a younger audience would not have heard so much – but another thing entirely to take on a consummate showman like ...
