I received Second Nature, Katherine Jenkins’s second album, as a Christmas present. The past year has been very successful for this welsh songstress. Her debut album, Premiere reached number one in the UK classical charts in April of 2004 and stayed there for eight weeks. Second Nature was released on 18th October 2004 hit the number one slot in January of this year.
Katherine Jenkins rose from relative obscurity to become one of British’s rising ... ...this is only Katherine Jenkins’ second album. She delivers each song as if she were a seasoned performer. She instills all the necessary emotion and warmth into each track.
The mix of genres and styles ensure that there is something to please everyone. Although each of the songs is well known and has been covered by many before her, Katherine has adapted them (herself) imprinting them with her unmistakable stamp. I thoroughly recommend this album. ...
Al Martino's biggest claim to fame is that he was the first artist to have a UK No 1 single. When the very first Top 40 was published in November 1952, his "Here In My Heart" sat proudly on top of the pile. It's nice to think that whatever else can happen in your career, they can't take that away from you. What fun it is to look at that first chart. All those great singers like Mario Lanza (a close friend of Al's), Vera Lynn, Guy Mitchell and…..er, ... ...we're getting off track somewhat so back to Mr Martino. He was born Alfred Cini in Philadelphia on 7/10/27 and began his singing career with help from Mario Lanza, the Italian-American opera singer. Indeed it was Lanza who passed over the opportunity to record "Here In My Heart" that allowed Al Martino his big break, as he stepped in to take his place at the microphone. As well as being No 1 here, the single sold over one million copies in the USA.

Advantages: Some of his own songs, some classics Disadvantages: None
...Georgia On My Mind and Crazy Love to name but a few. In my opinion he does a good job with each song, putting his own spin on it but still keeping the same essence of each song which I like. The rest of the album is as follows: "Cry Me a River" "All of Me" "Georgia on My Mind" "Crazy Love" "Haven't Met You Yet" "All I Do Is Dream of You" "Hold On" "Heartache Tonight" "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You" "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)" "At This ...
Advantages: A superb mix of tracks on an accomplished debut album Disadvantages: One or two weaker links.
...has been the Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. THE SINGER & ALBUM Grammy award-winning Michael Bublé burst on to the scene with his eponymous debut in 2003, which features a number of well-known covers spanning several decades of popular music. It was received extremely well by both the paying public and music critics alike, winning him the honour of Best New Talent at Canada’s 2004 Juno Awards (think the equivalent of the Brits). Along with ... ...one of my favourite George Michael songs, “Kissing A Fool”, and the Van Morrison classic “Moondance”. I bought the album on the back of hearing his rendition of “Come Fly With Me” and when I examined the track listing, I suspected he may have bitten off more than he could chew. It’s one thing to cover a Peggy Lee classic, which, perhaps a younger audience would not have heard so much – but another thing entirely to take on a consummate showman like ...
...is a traditional hymn that Camilla performs wonderfully, recently you may have also heard Faryl Smith singing this on her sophmore album (as well as her debut) Wonderland and while both versions are beautiful, I found Camilla’s more pleasing. It could be because I’m more of a Camilla fan to be honest, but it is…pretty darn amazing! I Can’t Help Falling In Love is a song I’d only heard once before, I’d heard Mark Owen sing it on youtube and really ... ...lovely. Most people will know Camilla for this track which is good because it shows her talents very well. I had no idea what to expect with Rain, I’d never heard of it before and sadly google didn’t help me much so I listened with great curiosity. I LOVED it. It’s so bright and joyful, perfect to listen to in the springtime I think. It just conjures up lovely imagery, I can see a lovely garden and fairies, it would be perfect for a family movie ...
