Advantages: Excellent Movie Sountrack. Disadvantages: None!
outside the famous Georgetown pub in the movie called "The Tombs". They are featured in this movie still sitting on a bench and all looking quite bored and cheesed off. All the stars really look very young and fresh faced in this picture and Rob Lowe (My favourite) is sitting at the end of the bench, beside his bicycle, looking very handsome indeed. At the top of the cover the title St Elmo's Fire is nicely headed in white lettering and this stands out well on the red background. Overall a great, eye-catching front cover to this soundtrack that is easy to recognise on my CD rack.
Back Cover Of St Elmo's Fire Soundtrack.
Well the back cover of this soundtrack is nothing very fancy at all. There are no pictures, just plenty of information about each and every one of the ten tracks. They are clearly printed onto the autumn red background ...
Advantages: One of the greatest all round movies produced Disadvantages: Elements of the story get slightly lost
the young Jack Nicholson into the Hollywood limelight.
It was a new dawn for cinema and a new start for Hollywood, it defined an entire movement and destroyed 40 years of Hollywood tradition. Everything was new, even the soundtrack with inputs by The Byrds, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, they gave it the sound that projected what the images were implying. These were heady days where you could get stoned on camera and show the effects so blatantly, the soundtrack was not only the background to a film it was a representation of everything and everybody that EasyRider appealed to. No film has impacted an entire system quite as much as EasyRider. Whilst it borrowed heavily from the French New wave it showed that the American new wave could too become a force to be reckoned with and so it proved. The film is an ode to the American landscape but ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Easy Rider (DVD)
Advantages: Brings back all the best bits of the film. Disadvantages: None that I know.
WOW! I love the film, and this soundtrack is absolutely amazing as well. Throughout the soundtrack I just want to get up and dance - and sometimes I do... LOL.
It's the whole standing in front of a mirror with the hairbrush CD. If you're a big fan of the film like me, then this is the perfect CD as you know all of the words off by heart without even realising it!
Everyone loves Patrick Swayze, and he sings track 3 (She's Like The Wind). It gives me goosebumps every time!
What makes this soundtrack even better is the price. For less than a fiver there's all the fun of the film! It'll get you dancing before you know it! Although you'll wish you were dancing with Patrick rather than on your own. LOL. ...

Additional notes
Album Notes
Producers: Stephen Blauner, Joel Sill, Steve Barri. Compilation producer: Mike Ragogna. Includes liner notes by Mike Ragogna. The definitive 1960s soundtrack to a definitive 1960s film, this album can be seen as the soundtrack not only to the film, but to the era itself. Ranging in style from proto-metal (Steppenwolf) and dope rock (Fraternity of Man) to folk balladry (Roger McGuinn), EASY RIDER conjures up the wild and surreal images and associations for which the decade has been celebrated. The crunching blues-rock of Jimi Hendrix's "If Six Was Nine" espouses a lo-fi, greasy, axe-wielding ethic that contrasts nicely with the more gentle, reflective melodies interspersed with increasing frequency towards the end. The soundtrack closes with McGuinn crooning the elegiac "Ballad of Easy Rider."
