Released in 2001, 'Echo Park' is the third studio album from Feeder; a twelve track construction of music featuring such infectiously catchy single releases as 'Buck Rogers' and 'Seven Days in the Sun' also. The album has a run time of just over 45 minutes in length and a strong 45 minutes of music it is too. The 'Echo Park' album consists of powerful guitar riffs a plenty, some super drumbeats, and the excellent vocal tone of front man Grant Nicholas is always a strong sound to hear. After the release of this album the line-up of Feeder was to change due to the suicide of the bands original drummer Jon Lee, this therefore resulted in a change in sound and direction for the band but 'Echo Park' is I feel the last truly great Feeder album to have been released. 'Echo Park' takes on more of a commercial rock sound than the first two Feeder albums ever did, it's a sound that has here worked out well for the band however and always this release has plenty to offer I feel.
Throughout this album the melodies are always strong, the choruses to the tracks brilliant, and never is the music of Feeder ever short of energy or excitement here. This 'Echo Park' album has plenty to offer to the listener; always the band proves it's worth here through producing a number of finely structured musical creations. Any band that can successfully put forward lyrics such as 'get a house in Devon, drink cider from a lemon' is in my opinion hugely talented. The lyrics are often utterly ridiculous here, it just doesn't matter however as the music is so fun and upbeat. Feeder could be singing anything here and still the music would have you grinning from ear to ear due to the exceptional song structure and fine melody of the music.
'Seven Days in the Sun' has always been my favourite track from this album, it's excellent from start to finish and never is there a dull moment with this one. The lyrics are as ever dreadful, the music is packed full of energy however and the chorus to this track is just absolutely excellent. Always I sing along at the top of my voice when I listen to this one; I just can't help myself. The guitars are incredibly well put across in the music here, the drumbeats providing an incredibly firm base for the vocals to lie atop of and vocally the track certainly doesn't disappoint. The drumbeats are so powerful throughout this track and are in fact excellent in every track on this album. It was such a great loss to the musical world when Jon Lee committed suicide in early 2002, his super drum work does however live on in the three Feeder albums that he helped contribute to ('Polythene', 'Yesterday Went Too Soon', and of course this 'Echo Park' album also).
As I've mentioned before; compared to the first two Feeder albums 'Echo Park' is an incredibly mellowed out album, a lighter and more commercially accessible sound was here displayed than ever before and this I feel was something that here benefited Feeder greatly. I love the first two Feeder albums, I also have a great appreciation for what was done here however and a number of the album tracks here are I feel incredibly impressive. If you listen to the successful single 'Buck Rogers' then you'll notice that the guitars are in fact really quite heavy here, this is something that is true of a lot of the tracks present on this album and always the guitar sound created here has plenty to offer. The guitar sound is full, powerful, and an absolute joy of a sound to hear present in the bands music. Tracks such as 'Tell All Your Friends', 'We Can't Rewind', and 'Choke' also do I feel best display the great guitar work of the band on this album. 'Choke' particularly is really quite a heavy track; every element of the sound is strong here and really well put across by the band in order to provide an extremely powerful overall sound.
The 'Echo Park' album from Feeder is one that I feel sounds absolutely excellent. From start to finish this album is full of power, energy, and excitement also and never does the music disappoint. The great talent of Feeder as a band is always here displayed, the lyrics are often a lot of fun and the choruses always here are excellent. Every track on this album is so well structured, always listening to this 'Echo Park' album is an absolute pleasure and not once does the music created here sound anything short of sensational. The voice of Grant Nicholas is always full of enthusiasm and passion here, every line is sung like he truly means it and this is something that is greatly refreshing to hear. Instrumentally this album has much to offer, vocally it is superb, and overall I must say that a note is rarely put wrong here. If you're going to be picky then the lyrics are not the most intelligent in the world here, this just doesn't matter however as the album is so packed full of life and the melodies so strongly constructed here that the lack of lyrical intelligence is something that can really be overlooked. I most certainly recommend investing in this 'Echo Park' album; it's a strong musical creation from the supremely talented Welsh three-piece that is Feeder. A large number of the tracks are so infectious here that you'll still find yourself singing along to them in many months to come.
Advantages: 12 cracking tracks without any filler Disadvantages: Last album as the original lineup
...in April 2001, they released Echo Park as their third full length album, at the same time as the re-release of Swim.
I think this was really the make or break album for the band and if things had back fired it would have been the end of Feeder. The results were pleasing and won the band a much larger fan base with the new sound and from there Grant seems to have excelled himself. He has created a more soulful, relaxed feel to the album and that ... ...riffs are still mixed in along with a slower pace that actually enhances the band's overall sound.
A lot of the album is in a similar vein to “Buck Rogers”, the guitars play the main part of each track with the drums keeping a good backing beat and tempo. It’s a simple formula and one that Feeder seems to have worked to their advantage with this album. The guitars really stand out on each track with both the lead and bass guitars really holding ...

Advantages: All the songs have brilliant guitaring and Grant Nicholas is a brilliant singer. Also all the songs build up to the chorus very well. Disadvantages: Only 45 minutes long!
...23rd of April this year, Echo Park is the latest and most successful album from the rock band Feeder. It contains the number 5 hit single, Buck Rogers and the brilliant Seven Days In The Sun single which made 14 in the charts.
Feeder are Grant Nicholas (Singer and guitarist) Jon Lee (Drummer) and Taka Hirose (Bass guitar). There is a good range of music style on this album, like there are really fast up beat tracks like Bug, Buck Rogers and Seven ... ...Days In The Sun so much. Echo Park can be picked up for around £10. It has a very bright front and back cover with quite a strange design on it in mainly blue. The only down point to the album is that there are only 45 minutes on it! ...

Advantages: it'll get you jumping Disadvantages: easily forgettable
Okay, got the music on in the background (surprisingly enough it’s Feeders ‘Echo Park’), got me cuppa beside me, and my photo’s of T in the Park just incase I forget my enthusiasm at some point! I’m ready, are we sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin…
I was at T in the Park this year to see a load of my favourite bands. Feeder where playing on the main stage and to be honest I had NO clue who they were. Fortunately ... ...we hung about to experience them. So they came on, (Sorry took a few moments to come back to you, ‘buck Rogers’ was on in the background, and kinda had to bounce about for a bit, quieter track now so, where was I?), eh, and started playing and I recognised their music immediately from the radio, well their big hits anyway. They where incredible! They’re music is catchy and loud and expressive and borders on a lot of genre’s ...

Advantages: Feeder are the future of British Indie/Rock music Disadvantages: Could have done with a few more songs
Echo Park is Feeder’s third full-length album. It follows their brilliant 6-track mini-album, Swim (1996), their brilliant debut album proper, Polythene (1997) and their last, and it has to be said, brilliant, album Yesterday Went Too Soon (1999); the title track of which is my favourite song of all time: absolutely brilliant. That word keeps popping up, and it is well-deserved.
Feeder are a Welsh-Japanese trio, consisting of Grant Nicholas ... ...Lee (Drums). For me, they are a combination of all the best bits of bands like Oasis, Manics, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Ash, and many more. As you will no doubt have noticed, all these bands are from these fair Isles, and Feeder are, without a doubt, a quintessentially British Rock/Pop/Indie guitar band, who write melodic, anthemic, punchy songs, perfect for jumping up and down to, and singing along to. You may have heard of them?
Touring like there’s ...

Advantages: The classic lyrics, the infamous Buck Rogers track. Fun for all tastes. Disadvantages: They're only properly known for Buck Rogers, and there's more classics that they should release from this album to become more recognisable.
...the drummer sadly committed suicide). Echo Park is their third album to date (good luck finding the others, I've searched and searched and they are extremely rare), so I unfortunately cannot compare to previous efforts, I can however, take you through each of the twelve tracks that will rock your world.
1. Standing On The Edge
"I thought I shot my conscious dead, but he's come back to break my china head"
To be honest, nothing to write home about ... ...loud guitar riffs. Acts as a gentle introduction to the rest of the album
******* - 7 stars (out of 10)
2. Buck Rogers
"He's got a brand new car, looks like a Jaguar, it's got leather seats, it's got a CD player"
We all know this one, loud, catchy lyrics and very likely to be heard down your local night club. A flagship track on the album, but not the best one!! You do eventually start to tire of it
******** - 8 stars
3. Piece By Piece

Advantages: Lyrics in the sleeve, on one of the best game soundtracks ever, and it is just great !! Disadvantages: short only 45 mins of music for 12 tracks
Album number three from the Welsh/Japanese trio sees the band riding on a current wave of popularity, following the chart success of recent singles Buck Rogers and Seven Days In The Sun.
EchoPark, named after a suburb of LA (a deliberate ploy to lure the US market?) lies comfortably between the band’s two previous albums. The overiding strength of this most recent offering lies in its crossover appeal – it is a CD that would be at home in the collections of both indie and rock fans alike whilst maintaining enough commercial sensibility to appeal to a much wider, Top 40 loving audience.
Featuring some of main man Grant Nichol’s best songwriting to date, EchoPark should finally see Feeder attain the level of success for which they have been striving over recent years. The added bonus is that several of the bands ...
Advantages: Most lyrically complete and Feeder reached there peak(so far) Disadvantages: Depressing....but very reflective
This is the critically acclaimed album from feeder. It is there 4th studio album after there platinum selling album "echopark".
This album takes a whole new turn in the Feeder saga. EchoPark was a fun and upbeat album. Which includes hits such as "Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days in the Sun". This album mourns and is constantly searching for the meaning of life.
In January 2002, Drummer, Jon Lee committed suicide. Although Grant Nicholas (Lead singer and song writer) had already begun work on the album there is still a sense that the album was wrote purely for his best friend. Its is certainly produced to give this feeling.
Track listing:
Just the way I'm feeling: Absolutely classic feeder. A massive tune, with guitars and strings. Everyone I know loves this song 10/10
Come Back Around: One of the rockier songs on the album ...
Advantages: Cathartic lyrics and friendly melodies Disadvantages: Poppity pop pop.
When I first discovered Feeder, back in the summer of 2001, EchoPark provided exactly what I needed. My parents had divorced, my father was away on holiday with his new girlfriend, and I was free to play the aggressive optimism of EchoPark as loud as I dared my speakers to go. I got into them, and the news of John Lee's suicide shocked me as much as any other fan, and I was glad to hear the news that they were going to continue. The world could do with more song's like Turn, and Oxygen, so the release of 2002's Comfort in Sound was a mitigated disappointment. There was some good tracks - Moonshine stands out on a personal level, whilst Come Back Around and Forget About Tomorrow added to Feeder's popular fanbase. But it always felt like a disappointment after EchoPark. The edgy, loud screaming tracks, the feel-good Seven Days in ...
2001's ECHO PARK is the third album by Welsh/Japanese guitar-popsters Feeder. The 12-track album features the band's U.K. Top 5 hit, "Buck Rogers," as well as its follow-up, "Seven Days in the Sun."
