Eclipse - Elysium

Advantages: Every song is a different style, sounds amazing, very technical
Disadvantages: Not really Yngwie's style

...I'm a big fan of Yngwie Malmsteen's art (well, it's more art than music). I own all of his albums and videos, and in my opinion, "Eclipse" is his best album ever. This album is very colorful - I mean, everyone can find something of his own in it. It starts with the typical '80s song "Making Love", but with the YJM touch, amazing and very technical guitar solo. The second song, "Bedroom Eyes" shows that the Maestro does everything really good - it's a really great bluesrock song. And what really deserves a mentioning, the song called "Demon Driver". It has Yngwie's most memorable arpeggios, and is a really enjoyable song, as well. To tell the truth, this album isn't really Yngwie's style - but it shows well that he can do everything - and do it pretty good.... Read review

...Eclipse is the second single from Apoptygma Bezerk's latest album 'Welcome to Earth'. Anything about this single shows what a class band Apoptygma Bezerk have become. From the excellent X-files' I want to believe' artwork to the pounding dance track of the title track. A thumping techno club beat dominates the song but its the clever electronic twist and turns that Stephan Groth manipulates around this beat that along with the lonesome lyrics about time and space brings the song to life. Featuring 3 mixes of Eclispe (One a radio edit) and a new track 'Beatbox' the only real criticism is that there is not enough variation in the single. Again it's the case of a single being used as a promotion tool for the album, rather than giving the listener fresh tracks or new intrepretations of a song. . Anyway Eclipse is a first class...
