Advantages: Catchy singalonga choruses... even in Spanish...great story and funky musicianship.
Disadvantages: Make sure you buy a copy with the translations and explanations.

...the characters in the story...swinging stuff Track 2: Onda Callejera Little Willie G. sings the first Spanish song. The swinging beat is still there and the simple arrangement. The tale of an "engineered" fight between 300 sailors and the Chavez Ravine boys. The vocal is sad. Innocent victims. A lovely melodic piano break. Just a hint of Mariachi. Track 3: Don't call me Red RC's second song and his vocal is gritty and mean. The opening verse makes way for a narrative over driving bass and insistant snare drumming. Mean guitar chord punching the message and the turmpet signals chaos. There's a "Red cloud over Chavez Ravine...." The McCarthy-men are coming. Track 4: Corrido de Boxeo Sung by Lalo Guerrero. Lalo knew the boxers Carlos and Favela Chavez. An accordion plays a waltz, take your partners and swing, the band will lead you round the floor... Read review

Hoy os voy a hablar sobre el último disco que ha sacado al mercado este grupo sueco que es, sin duda, el mejor grupo de Suecia después del éxito multitudinario que tuvo ABBA. Este grupo de origen sueco nació en 1986 con su primer disco que fue "Pearls of Passion". No fue un éxito de ventas en su propio país y en países cercanos (en España no salió a la venta este disco y las canciones que incluía las grabó y utilizó Per Gessle en un disco que lanzó en solitario. Las canciones las grabó para este primer disco de Roxette con la cantante Marie Fredriksson. Después de este disco vinó otro disco más y llegó el tercero que se vendió en toda Europa como churros, si me permitís la licencia de decirlo así; ese disco fue Look Sharp! en el año 1989. Hernandez had been an inspiration to the band, and came in to replace Brandt Bjork who went on to be part of Che, Fu Manchu and Jalamanta, amongst other projects. Kyuss were truly the seed from which all the best branches of modern rock grew up. Following the underrated "Wretch", the critically acclaimed "Blues For The Red Sun" and the fan's favourite "Sky Valley" this album was a fitting way for the band to conclude. 'Hurricane' is a fast, growling track, possibly the best opening to any album ever. 'One Inch Man' is more lyrical than most Kyuss recordings, more mid-paced than the others on this album and definetly stands out as the track that had the most "single potential". 'Thee Ol' Boozeroony' is also fast for a Kyuss track, but offers... Read review
