Disadvantages: graphics a bit basic - but good enough for kids

Yes, Bananas in pyjamas! Next in my nieces collection of DVD's, (she is so spoilt! all we had when we were young was a hand me down wooden noah's ark set with half the animals being either widowed, cyclops or having no eyes left at all). Any way, This bananas in pyjamas dvd is aimed at 1 months to 6 year olds. It features all the favourite nursery rhymes including incy wincy spider, little miss muffet and little bow peep. Theres also a good extra section on the dvd. A classic bunch, B1 and B2 still loved by the youth of today. However i do have issues with thier morals, encouraging children to run around all day in their bed wear - not very socially acceptable in todays world. And does raise the question - what do they wear at night? - normal clothes, a suit and tie, jeans? .... ? one can only wonder! COST: £6.99 PLACE ...

The oldest electric railway in the world

Advantages: Good fun, reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Only runs along a short route

Running for a length of around two kilometres along Brighton's seafront Volk's Electric Railway is the oldest operating electric railway system in the world. Established in 1883 it was not the first electric rail system of its kind, that award goes to a similar system at Lichterfelde, Berlin that predates this one by a couple of years. However that one no longer operates so Brighton's version qualifies as the oldest one still in use. Brighton's electric railway is a narrow gauge railway that was the brainchild of Magnus Volk. Snug as a bug in an electric rug...

Advantages: No more cold feet, arms, legs, back...
Disadvantages: You'll want to stay in bed all day!

with a single click the provided power adapter and plug to the inobtrusive socket at the side of the blanket - which is well out of the way of the sleeping area of the bed. The cable is quite long and would reach a power point in the wall directly behind the bed with no problems. The fleecy feel of the blanket is pleasant, but those with sensitive skin like me will probably find it best to put a normal fitted bottom sheet over the electric blanket for total comfort. Operational functions: Once the blanket is fitted according to the booklet it only took a couple of minutes to figure out the operating instructions. The control switch is situated in an easy to grip plastic console about 30cms away from the connection to the blanket.
