Advantages: Supreme guitar, excellent lyrics Disadvantages: none, this is the best album ever
...This album has to be the peak of JimiHendrix's career. And that really is saying something as Hendrix is without doubt the greatest rock guitarist ever to walk the earth. ElectricLadyland is a perfect blend of many of his best ever tracks. The whole album flows seamlessly from song to song, each as good as the last. There are to tracks that rise above the rest of the album into the stratasphere. These are "All Along the Watchtower" (the re-make of Bob Dillan's song), and of course the 15 minute version of "Voodoo Chile". No-one can ever touch those songs. The lyrics are sublime and are surpassed only by Hendrix's mastery of the guitar. Anyone who apreciates good guitar music cannot go without this album. Finally I can say that this is without doubt the best rock album I own (and probably the best I will ever hear)....

Grooovy Man Review ofElectricLadyland [Remastered] - JimiHendrixby
Mauri
...Ian Dury wrote a song called 'Sex and Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll' which would seem to describe perfectly the way JimiHendrix lived his life and in a way it also can serve to describe the ‘ElectricLadyland ' experience'.
'ElectricLadyland' is considered by many to be one of the best albums ever made. This record more than any other sums up the psychedelic musical era started in the sixties, which seemed to come to an abrupt end with Hendrix death in 1970. It perfectly encapsulated the innovative style that Hendrix had developed over his tragically short career.
Hendrix was the first major black rock star and inspired a whole generation of musicians, the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Pete Townsend and more recently Patti Smth, Lenny Kravitz and Prince…the list goes on.
This was Hendrix's third record...

Advantages: There are 17 tracks. They all rock. None of them are bad. It's all so orignal. I could go on forever.... Disadvantages: That this falls behind sappy tush like the Beatles in most 'Best Album of All Time' features.
...Popular opinion amongst people who know absolutely nothing about music is that the best album ever is 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.' However for those in the know, those who like music to be someting other than cheery soft pap, there are only two albums that could possibly collect the aforementioned accolade. One is 'ElectricLadyland,' and the other is this. JimiHendrix is God. That is the only way I can describe how I feel about the man who changed the face of every musical entity he became associated with; blues, rock, the guitar, you know how it is. If you own this album, you will know you are wasting your time reading this, because, much though I am rarely short of words, Jimi leaves me utterly speechless. Each song here is amazing, even those not considered classics. If you consider yourself a music buff and don...
