This album has to be the peak of Jimi Hendrix's career. And that really is saying something as Hendrix is without doubt the greatest rock guitarist ever to walk the earth. Electric Ladyland is a perfect blend of many of his best ever tracks. The whole album flows seamlessly from song to song, each as good as the last. There are to tracks that rise above the rest of the album into the stratasphere. These are "All Along the Watchtower" (the re-make of Bob Dillan's song), and of course the 15 minute version of "Voodoo Chile". No-one can ever touch those songs. The lyrics are sublime and are surpassed only by Hendrix's mastery of the guitar. Anyone who apreciates good guitar music cannot go without this album. Finally I can say that this is without doubt the best rock album I own (and probably the best I will ever hear).
