Okay first off skip the first track never got it really to be honest. Mind you I bet he didnt either. Right lets start the review.

Basically I am a really bad Jimi Hendrix Fan. I love the guy and respect him but to be honest I never listened to his music. This was quite emabrassing when people asked "So what do you think of crosstown traffic?" Ummmmm!

The packaging itself is quite nice and simple. His mug on the front means you dont even have to look to see what album you're playing. Yeah I know its great hehe.

Seriously though. The music is all very catchy. You might've heard Crosstown traffic on tv ad's and trust me just the intro gets my neck hairs going. There's also the old classic, All Along the Watchtower and Voodoo Child (Slight Return). This doesn't mean that all the other songs are simply there to fill up any availble space on the CD. O no! The two backing vocals on the songs complement (what can only be described as) the wicky warness of Jimi's guitar. I'm not going to go through each song and break it down. Its not there to be over analysed and broken down into "OO I wonder why he's chosen this rhythm". No. This album is purely for humming along to or nodding your head.

Not every song is old school rock. Some are actually quite laid back and you can imagine yourself in the 70's with the old shagpile carpet and lots of beuatiful women around you.

As a Jimi virgin I gotta admit I was totally surprised by what I got in the album. I was expecting to just sit there and wonder "Wow! I wonder how he plays that?" To be honest I dont think I ever have. I've just been totally overcome by the stickyness of the songs in my head. It's a great album. The only thing thats lacking is perhaps...umm...another album of his in my collection?!!

For you hardcore fans I'm afriad this isn't much of a review in that I dont explain the music very well. Why? Because to try would just be awful. I'm in no position to talk about his slick style of guiatr simply becuase I can't. All I can say is it's a great album full of great song. Sometimes you come away from an album thinking "Ooo not great but hey". This isnt one of them. Simple
