Advantages: Two or three very good tracks.
Disadvantages: Most of the tracks are nothing to write home about.

Another Late Night seems to be a lesser know release of zero 7's, which is not good for a band who are generally not that well known to begin with! I can understand why, however, as this is not like other zero 7 albums so is perhaps ignored to some extent even by fans of the group. ...by 'souls of mischief' is another great track, although with a very different sound. This has strong rap-like lyrics over a very smooth beat, it sounds great, very upbeat, yet still with a relaxed air. The next track, 'pra manha' by 'da lata' is unusual in that the lyrics are in a different language (which I don't know), but the female vocals sound nice even though I don't understand them, and there is a slightly latin vibe with a strong guitar ...

The "Miles_Gurtu" experiment

Advantages: A blend of intricate beats, varied jazzy melodies and experimental soundscapes.
Disadvantages: Over-tweaking disrupts the ambience occasionally. No mainstream appeal. Some tracks don't work.

Take a Swiss-Italian ambient trance producer (Robert Miles) and blend together with an Indian percussionist (Trilok Gurtu). Add other talented musicians to the mix and allow to simmer gently, making sure you season generously with electronic sculpting and processing. Slightly disappointed but still good

Advantages: some golden oldies
Disadvantages: alot of the tunes you will have on the older gatecrasher cds

Soil Festivities - Beautiful, soothing instrumental music.

Advantages: Music to really relax to.
Disadvantages: Movement 3 breaks the mood somewhat!
