DT8-ing all the way!

Advantages: a very good listen for hard house lovers
Disadvantages: not one of the best euphoria albums

beyond euphoria is a very good hard house album. for those of you who don't know hard house is a very hard core, hard styling type of dance music which is characterised by a very fast tempo. some people like to call it agressive dance music. i think the choice of tracks for this album and the mixing by DT8 project is brilliant and gives the album an excellent finish. DT8 project have released some of their own songs such as "the sun is shining" ...
...on earth" by above an beyond who have mixed other euphoria albums. another great track is hemstock and jennings "the passion." combing tracks like these along side other excellent hard house tunes such as electroheadz "our of asia" makes this album a winner. a song which stands out to me on cd two is "your eyes" by dogzilla. this is because i think it is a fantastic tune and i think others will agree with me. however the second album doesnt do it ...

Infinite Euphoria (Ferry Corsten)

Advantages: unusual mix of music mixed superbly, quality songs and couple of classics
Disadvantages: not everyones cup of tea, just the few songs that you would skip

Very good compilation brought to us by Ferry Corsten. His mix of songs is very good and in most cases the choice of songs is excellent. The beginning to both cds is excellent, shame the ends arent as good, it just feels like he has bunged a few in to make the minutes up on the cd's. Apart from the odd songs that no one's ever heard of there are a few classics in there. 'William Orbit - Barbers Adagio For Strings' , a pure classic that won't be forgotton. ...
...he is trying to steal the show, in my opinion it is the best version. Also 'System F - Cry', 'Gouryella - Ligaya' and 'The Thrillseekers - Synaethesia' are present, and all on cd2. I think this compilation isn't for the feint hearted, it has real beat to it and any classic clubber will absolutely like the 2nd cd. A shame the 1st cd doesn't have the same qualities as the 2nd and just a few songs to get to the 80 minutes mark, but overall the compilation ...

The "Miles_Gurtu" experiment

Advantages: A blend of intricate beats, varied jazzy melodies and experimental soundscapes.
Disadvantages: Over-tweaking disrupts the ambience occasionally. No mainstream appeal. Some tracks don't work.

Take a Swiss-Italian ambient trance producer (Robert Miles) and blend together with an Indian percussionist (Trilok Gurtu). Add other talented musicians to the mix and allow to simmer gently, making sure you season generously with electronic sculpting and processing. The resulting album is an interesting fusion of acoustic instruments, electronic processed sounds, intricate beats, jazz and experimental soundscapes. Released in 2004, “MilesGurtu” ...

Slightly disappointed but still good

Advantages: some golden oldies
Disadvantages: alot of the tunes you will have on the older gatecrasher cds

When I saw this product advertised on the television I was so excited because I have all the gatecrasher albumns and I just loved the idea of a best of gatecrasher albumn but then you get the the idea of, is it worth buying it cos you will have most thesongs alreadyalbeit on 10 different albumns. So there is the first good point of this albumn, all the classics on one albumn that you can stick on, on a saturday night and dance away till your hearts ...
...tunes and some not so good tunes so like me I was tempted just to buy it off itunes and download the tunes I liked but at 99p each I found I like more than £9.99 worth of tunes so I bought the albumn. Theres some old time favourites and some current classics with some great remixes and with 3 cds you really do get your moneys worth. Soil Festivities - Beautiful, soothing instrumental music.

Advantages: Music to really relax to.
Disadvantages: Movement 3 breaks the mood somewhat!

...first track (movement 1) of Soil Festivities, and showed him actually playing and recording it. It started with thunder and rain, and then lots of birds and animals gathering around an African watering hole to drink. I was captivated. There are no actual animal sounds used but birds are mimicked by the synthesisers. The music is so gentle, uplifting and soothing. Layer upon layer of beautiful sounds. Very warm feeling. Completely instrumental throughout. ...
...really make synthesiser music that is full of emotion and feeling. There a 5 movements to this album. Movement 3 is less relaxing, more turbulent, and not one of my favourites. The other tracks more than make up for this. Perfect for background or upfront listening. Good for bedtime (except movement3). Highly recommended if you like relaxing instrumental music. ...
