...is the drum n bass in this album? Unless I'm mistaken, one of the tracks on here is guitar based and could be classed as a rock song. Nothing against rock but if I wanted a rock song I'd have bought one. Annoying synthesizer most of the way through, half hearted feeble bass line when there is one at all. ...to the same themes. Oxygene 7 reminds me of something from Bladerunner if I'm honest but is still a great track. Oxygene 8, One of my personal faves & I never understood why this wasn't released as a single as it had all the right ingredients to be a dance hit & make JMJ a household name. ...mainly reactions to projections & some fireworks, you are hearing the console master version of the music so you won't hear any of the fireworks in the background as all the mics are aimed the stage. ...album is darkly moving. The last track "Last night" is another example of the slower side of the album, a good fadeout with some bluesy aspects that is well worth a listen. A bit of pub/bar-room trivia for you all: Grandmaster Caz, famous for weighing in on hip-hop bombshell 'rappers delight' and not to be confused with Grandmaster Flash, makes a vocal contribution on "I love to move in here".
