Advantages: Consistant, well-put-together, lively (and some good remixes)

Aphrodite is well known in the Drum 'n' Bass fraternity and has released tracks since the early days. He famously paired up with Micky Finn and created 'Bad Ass' a track well known by many. aphrodite - aftershock album

Advantages: original and fresh style of drum n bass
Disadvantages: hard to find a copy

almost a collectors piece now. aphrodite has always been known for his party jump up style of drum n bass and his tracks have a lot of hip hop influences blended in to them. this album is a must have for jump up fans or anyone that loves simple twostep beats with wicked basslines and simple but effective melodies. this also features a few rappers the bigest being rah digga from the states with put a cut on it. my fave track and i think by far ...
...you know bad ass which is the biggest track aphrodite has made to date and most of the tracks since then sound like remixes of that. but this is unique but still having that aphrodite jump up sound. if you get hold of a vynil version then keep hold of it as i think this will be worth alot of money not to far in the future. ...

The "Miles_Gurtu" experiment

Advantages: A blend of intricate beats, varied jazzy melodies and experimental soundscapes.
Disadvantages: Over-tweaking disrupts the ambience occasionally. No mainstream appeal. Some tracks don't work.

Take a Swiss-Italian ambient trance producer (Robert Miles) and blend together with an Indian percussionist (Trilok Gurtu). Add other talented musicians to the mix and allow to simmer gently, making sure you season generously with electronic sculpting and processing. Slightly disappointed but still good

Advantages: some golden oldies
Disadvantages: alot of the tunes you will have on the older gatecrasher cds

When I saw this product advertised on the television I was so excited because I have all the gatecrasher albumns and I just loved the idea of a best of gatecrasher albumn but then you get the the idea of, is it worth buying it cos you will have most thesongs alreadyalbeit on 10 different albumns. So there is the first good point of this albumn, all the classics on one albumn that you can stick on, on a saturday night and dance away till your hearts ...

Soil Festivities - Beautiful, soothing instrumental music.

Advantages: Music to really relax to.
Disadvantages: Movement 3 breaks the mood somewhat!

It started with thunder and rain, and then lots of birds and animals gathering around an African watering hole to drink. I was captivated. There are no actual animal sounds used but birds are mimicked by the synthesisers. The music is so gentle, uplifting and soothing. Layer upon layer of beautiful sounds. Very warm feeling. ...really make synthesiser music that is full of emotion and feeling. There a 5 movements to this album. Movement 3 is less relaxing, more turbulent, and not one of my favourites.
