...Daft Punk live on their Alive 2007 tour i wanted to buy this album to remind me of the fantastic time i had. This is such a brilliantly mixed and recorded album. The mixes are amzing especially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger / Around The World, the crowd makes it sound even better as you can hear the reaction when the mixes start to happen. Review of Alive 2007 - Daft Punk

One of the best chillout albums I've ever heard..

Advantages: Generally excellent, varied, really wide appeal, no bad tracks
Disadvantages: slightly too chilled out for some

...hearing Silver and Gypsy from Animal Magic I was hooked. The album's ten tracks (including intro) are all completely different, from the uber-chilled out Kota to the more lively tracks such as the pretty bass orientated Sugar Rhyme. Having said that, they all follow a fairly relaxed theme, perfect for summer evenings with mates or post surfing... Unfortunately, this album is really difficult to describe and I recommend that you listen to a track ...
...me this is what sets Animal Magic above Melody AM by Röyksopp, Mishaps Happening by Quantic or Hotel by Moby. On that note, this album would, in my opinion, be loved by anyone that likes Moby, Röyksopp or any other chillout type music. Also worth looking into along the same lines as Bonobo would be Quantic (mentioned above, another artist on the Tru Thoughts label). WARNING: PARTY STARTER

Advantages: Applies to everyones taste.
Disadvantages: None

Daft Punk are a duet of two French robitically-masked musicians, their identities well hidden allowing them to bask in the glory of their Dance fame yet lead a normaly life outside music (if there is such a thing). But what they refuse to hide is their brilliance and this album optimizes their talent, it being filled with songs that take about a second to fall in a dope-like trance to. The first song of this album, entitled "One more time" is exactly ...
...of the tune and the album in total. It also contains the original version of the duet with Kanye West on the track "Stronger," under the name "Harder, Faster, Better, Stronger." Daft Punk are heavily underestimated when it comes to their musical ability, as they started off in a rock band and were not always just a couple of DJs, they just progressed. The "Miles_Gurtu" experiment

Advantages: A blend of intricate beats, varied jazzy melodies and experimental soundscapes.
Disadvantages: Over-tweaking disrupts the ambience occasionally. No mainstream appeal. Some tracks don't work.

Take a Swiss-Italian ambient trance producer (Robert Miles) and blend together with an Indian percussionist (Trilok Gurtu). Add other talented musicians to the mix and allow to simmer gently, making sure you season generously with electronic sculpting and processing.
