...Daft Punk live on their Alive 2007 tour i wanted to buy this album to remind me of the fantastic time i had. This is such a brilliantly mixed and recorded album. The mixes are amzing especially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger / Around The World, the crowd makes it sound even better as you can hear the reaction when the mixes start to happen. ...tracks taken from the three Daft Punk studio albums: "Homework", "Discovery" and "Human After All" (chronological order). In addition to the other artist's remixes, Daft Punk themselves have included an "Ouverture" and two remixes of the classic single from Discovery: Aerodynamic. As it is a remix album I do not find the order of tracks to be particularly relevant although Daft Punk have put the "Ouverture" fittingly at the beginning. This crackles ...
...continues into some more traditional Daft Punking. There are three (badly spaced out) remixes of Aerodynamic on the album. The first is Daft Punk's own. It has been rearranged and added with the acapella of "One More Time". The combination works brilliantly and the notorious "Aerodynamic" guitar riff is put to even better effect. When i first heard Daft Punk it was when my friend introduced me to it, and i thought it was quite annoying and repetitive and ot something i'd generally listen to, then i listened to it on my own later and i thought that it was actually quite catchy so changed my mind. i think it takes a bit of listening to but it's actually really really good! This CD is great to listen to on the run, it's catchy and has some really funky beats. Not all the songs ...
...faster stronger" is a good track, and i heard it before Kanye West's version and prefer it. I also like "one more time" and i'd heard this ages ago but wasn't sure who it was by, so it was a nice surprise to find it on this cd. Other songs i like on here are "something about us" and "technologic". I, personally, would reccommend buying this CD. ... Read review
