Advantages: A great starter scruff album Disadvantages: good, but not as good as keep it solid steel
Its sort of electronic funky jazz. Mostly. Lots of other bits get a look in here and there.
I found this album by mistake. In fact I found ninja tune by mistake, hunting U.N.K.L.E mp3s found me Coldcut, which led me onto ninja tune. But enough of that, I could talk about the random ways I find good tunes for hours.
Of course, downloading mp3s is illegal and amoral. You might as well put babies on spikes, you criminal.
So. The album. I haven't ... ...Not as long as some, but not the cheeky shortness of system of a down's latest offering. 13 tracks, of which some are great and the rest are fantastic. The one about the whale tells a good story.
You'll find yourself listening and trying to remember where you recognise the songs from. Adverts. Adverts are full of ninja tune songs, because they sound good and often have lots of looped bits that last about as long as an add. This isn't as much of ...

Advantages: Some classic tunes and great live shows Disadvantages: Slightly let down by the hype
...dissapointed on 1st listen of sound mirrors. The album just doesn't seem to have any stand out tracks and it washes over you very quickly, not in a good way though, non of the tracks had hooks and some just droned me into the ground. I thought i would give it a second chance but after hearing it for the second time after 10 minutes i had had enough and it went in the never to be played again pile. This is a real big shame as there was a lot of hype ...

In desperate need of some alternative types of music to rock/indie and something I could relax too I was recommended this by a friend. Apologies to any readers if I dont know the background to Amon Tobin, the album or the genre, it's just based on my repeating listening to this album.
Initially I was sceptical, but now I am a convert, this album is full of lovely warm tones, equally appealing at high and low volumes; it tends to give a different ... ...working or when i need to relax, of which the first few tracks are the best, its not the thing to get you jumping around the house. I'll try to explain some of the tracks.
