Oxygene 8, One of my personal faves & I never understood why this wasn't released as a single as it had all the right ingredients to be a dance hit & make JMJ a household name. This wouldn't be out of place in any club & would certainly find a willing audience in places like Ibiza. Oxygene 9, It has more elements of Pink Floyd & Magnetic ... ...back in about 1980. Oxygene 11, another one that reminds me too much of Magentic Fields & Equinoxe Oxygene 12, another track that could have been released as a single & would have easily found an audience in the clubs. Also has elements that remind me Bladerunner (its that background arpeggio!). Oxygene 13, this is very definately the most Oxygene-esque of all these tracks ( as I recall this was normally one of the last tracks he played at the concert ...

the first time i heard this album i didn't know it was jean-michel jarre but just by listening i knew it was his work and as usual it was absolutly brilliant. go out and buy it, you wont regret it. a friend put this on to relax me and it surly did because this is the type of music that can be played either quietly or loud, it is such a clever piece of music, the album is totally cleverly put together. if you have never listened to jean-michel jarre ...

It is finally here! Metamorphoses is a different Jean Michel Jarre than what we are used to. This CD sounds so good and well defined that nothing else will sound good on your system anymore. This is a multi-layered, multi-dimentional ultra masterpiece. Jean-Michel Jarre is always exploring for new sounds, has made yet another genius album. The casual fan may write it off as too much of a techno album. But the reality is that Jarre implements heavy ... ...sensational original album. However this album may not be for all lovers of synthesiser work as it is a very intense composition. If you are looking for an easy listening synthesiser piece this is probably not for you. On the other hand if you want to hear how far Jean Michel is pushing the boundaries of music then I would recommend this without hesitation. ...

...on Equinoxe? 01 - Equinoxe Part 1. Yep, another album where Jarre didn't come up with track names just part numbers. Back then everyone had some Jarre in their tv music archive and Equinoxe was one of the most used. Like Oxygene its also got a very space travel type feel to it (probably because I associate it with Arthur C Clarke) and it's yet another great example of how well Jean-Michel can create ambient soundscapes. 02 - Equinoxe Part 2. Another ... ...to it. 03 - Equinoxe Part 3.
