DJ Shadow is quite possibly the best DJ in the industry, both today and for the last few decades. If you are a fan of hip hop and sampling, then you should treat yourself to hearing his work. ...hip hop/trip hop tracks. This album, "Endtroducing" was my first visit to the DJ Shadow world and its by far the best (though you should definetly check out "private press" as well. There is something deeply inspirational about the tunes and nearly every track begs your attention again and again. A pure classic. ...Daft Punk live on their Alive 2007 tour i wanted to buy this album to remind me of the fantastic time i had. This is such a brilliantly mixed and recorded album. The mixes are amzing especially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger / Around The World, the crowd makes it sound even better as you can hear the reaction when the mixes start to happen. The Private Press is a great album but its got a lot to live up to - Endtroducing is a genre defining album that sounded so far ahead of its time when it was released that it was always going to be hard to better it. But thats not was this album is about. It certainly sounds different from his previous work, but its so well produced that this really is a great album if you want to test out your speakers. If you were expecting more of the same stuff then this will be a suprise, albeit a worthwhile one. Daft Punk are a duet of two French robitically-masked musicians, their identities well hidden allowing them to bask in the glory of their Dance fame yet lead a normaly life outside music (if there is such a thing). But what they refuse to hide is their brilliance and this album optimizes their talent, it being filled with songs that take about a second to fall in a dope-like trance to.
