Quality, Pure Quality
Review of Alive 2007 - Daft Punk by
arsenaldjo
Advantages: Greatest Show On Earth on CD
Disadvantages: Doesnt compare to the actually show
...Daft Punk live on their Alive 2007 tour i wanted to buy this album to remind me of the fantastic time i had. This is such a brilliantly mixed and recorded album. The mixes are amzing especially Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger / Around The World, the crowd makes it sound even better as you can hear the reaction when the mixes start to happen.
Another great track is One More Time in which 4 tracks are mixed together to create one mega track. With ...

WARNING: PARTY STARTER
Review of Discovery - Daft Punk by
tedwards542
Advantages: Applies to everyones taste.
Disadvantages: None
Daft Punk are a duet of two French robitically-masked musicians, their identities well hidden allowing them to bask in the glory of their Dance fame yet lead a normaly life outside music (if there is such a thing). But what they refuse to hide is their brilliance and this album optimizes their talent, it being filled with songs that take about a second to fall in a dope-like trance to.
The first song of this album, entitled "One more time" is exactly ... ...of the tune and the album in total. It also contains the original version of the duet with Kanye West on the track "Stronger," under the name "Harder, Faster, Better, Stronger." Daft Punk are heavily underestimated when it comes to their musical ability, as they started off in a rock band and were not always just a couple of DJs, they just progressed. Within the album there is vocals, drum, guitar, bass and keyboard all perfectly blended together ...

Daft Punk certainly done thier Homework!!
Review of Homework - Daft Punk by
seismicjab
Advantages: Brilliant diversity, pioneering filtered French electronics
Disadvantages: NOTHING!
This is Daft Punk's first and by far the best album they have released to date. It is by the far the least commercial and most underground release as the newer releases like 'Discovery' tend to go a bit on the poppy side which is expected due to their success.
If you like that filtered French house sound this album ticks all the boxes. As well as the distinct sound theres lots of variation with some of the tracks bordering on techno. Favourite Tracks:
... ...tracks of all time - funky and fresh
Da Funk - Twisted downbeatish sort of breaks track - awesome video also
Burnin' - Filtery and funky house track - definitely a pioneer with the likes of Junior Jack and numerous other house producers following the trend.
Rollin' & Scratchin' - Tough and technnoey - Chicago influences apparent, contains some lovely crazy noises and whooshes also
If you are a techno enthusiast, please check out this page for ...

Daft Club
Review of Daft Club (Remixes) [ECD] - Daft Punk by
miss_you_so_1
Advantages: A Good House/Electronica/Dance album
Disadvantages: Not really Daft Punk...
...tracks taken from the three Daft Punk studio albums: "Homework", "Discovery" and "Human After All" (chronological order). In addition to the other artist's remixes, Daft Punk themselves have included an "Ouverture" and two remixes of the classic single from Discovery: Aerodynamic.
As it is a remix album I do not find the order of tracks to be particularly relevant although Daft Punk have put the "Ouverture" fittingly at the beginning. This crackles ... ...continues into some more traditional Daft Punking. There are three (badly spaced out) remixes of Aerodynamic on the album. The first is Daft Punk's own. It has been rearranged and added with the acapella of "One More Time". The combination works brilliantly and the notorious "Aerodynamic" guitar riff is put to even better effect. Speaking of effects there are some subtle changes to the softer riffs in the track when it is layered under the second ...

Not So Daft After All
Review of Human After All [ECD] - Daft Punk by
dakyzerman
Advantages: Amazing, Lengthy tracks, Danceable
Disadvantages: Brain Washing, Lack of tracks
..."The Brainwasher" does exactly what it says on the tin. But not all the songs are Hardcore. If you just want to relax, songs like "Emotion" or "Make Love" is just the cup of tea for you.
Whether your Human or Robot this is a great album of choice. ...
