Musical Talent In A Box - Moby: Play
Review of Play - Moby by grown_up_girlie

Advantages: Tantalises your ear buds!
Disadvantages: Probably not too everyones taste!

...who have read my Moby Play DVD review you will know that I am a massive fan of this extremely talented musician. I have purchased this particular album, 3 times since its release in 1999. This just proves what a fan I am of this highly acclaimed and powerful album that has sold over 8 million copies worldwide! I can't live without the inspirational tunes of this album! Each track means so much to me emotionally and I am about to tell you why with ...
...is of….. …..Moby - Play (The no.1 selling album) Please note: The CD listing is slightly different to the DVD (As I reviewed previously). **Genre** For those who don't know a lot about Moby's music, this CD Album is different from most mainstream chart music you would hear. It features great beats, rhythmic tempo and you can really feel yourself within the music. If I was to assign this CD album to a genre I would classify it as down tempo - ... Read review

Extra, Extra! Artist Puts Manhattan in a Box!
Review of Last Night - Moby by LuckyDenverMinty

Advantages: Rhythmic simplicty masks symphonic depth, consistently upbeat and refreshing
Disadvantages: Could use a little more variation

...album is darkly moving. The last track "Last night" is another example of the slower side of the album, a good fadeout with some bluesy aspects that is well worth a listen. A bit of pub/bar-room trivia for you all: Grandmaster Caz, famous for weighing in on hip-hop bombshell 'rappers delight' and not to be confused with Grandmaster Flash, makes a vocal contribution on "I love to move in here". Put simply: If you're a fan of Moby, buy this record. ...
...buy this record. , buy this record. If you like to loose it on the dance-floor … buy this record. There are one or two weak links but as a whole it's an easy album to love and easily deserves a place up there with the best of Moby. Best Track: "Every Day it's 1989" Worst Track: "I Love to Move in Here" ... Read review

Good for the soul!
Review of 18 - Moby by Harryslarry

Advantages: A good mixture of tracks , for all moods!
Disadvantages: A tough act to follow , this gem !

...closer inspection the cd contains 18 tracks ,with an inlay of more pictures of Moby in similar circumstances. There is also an essay on mobys thoughts and beliefs and how it influenced his choices in making this cd. Something he takes seriously . The tracks themselves are a good mixture of old style Moby meets new , with the familiar instrumental strings, beats, samples and on this cd gospel thrown in as the main feature! So here is the order ...
...piano riff throughout. 12. 18 - Another lovely tune , instrumental with piano and strings , very calming influence. Again nice to rest to. 13. Sleep alone - Moby laments in this and is quite a slow piece. Probably the track Im most likely to skip . 14. At least we tried - A lady sings with melancholy about love . 15. Harbour - The longest track on the cd , with the vocal talents of Sinead o conner , haunting tune with strings . 16. Look back ... Read review

Pedulum In Silico
Review of In Silico - Pendulum by simplysteve

Advantages: Original, POUNDING BASS
Disadvantages: naff lyrics!

...dry and generally meaningless but in this type of music you expect that. To describe it is a Prodigy for the next generation is fair i think and this album really is a classic already. The general feel of the tracks is similar, with one or two exceptions, the receipe being an acoustic start, heavy build up and powerful, low frequency repetitive and catchy taglines. Since i've owned it, It's been on loop in my car CD player wowing my friends with ... Read review
