Advantages: Diverse, A couple of brilliant tracks
Disadvantages: Not as good as other Chemical Borothers albums but still worth a listen!

'Push The Button' - Chemical Brothers second newest album is as expected a quality and diverse combination of variuos styles of electronic music as all of the Chemical's albums. Some nice guest appearence's also from Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest and Tim Burgess from the Charlatans. The album contains styles such as elecro house, techno, hip hop, breaks and indie. Although I do rate this album highly, I would not class this by no means as one ...
...'Dig Your Own Hole' and even the latest release 'We Are The Night'. Favourite tracks: Galvanise feat. Q-Tip - Awesome hio hop house fusion. This i sprobably the most famous track on the album, did extremely well in the charts. Advantages: brillaint ambient, texturising album
Disadvantages: cant really think of any..tis just a brilliant album!

probebly one of the most un-mainstream yet brilliant ensambles in teh world today. there electronic grooves and textures even make radiohead look like a whacky off beat prance (p.s i like radiohead, going to see them soon! :D, just hought i should say that ;)) truly an album worth getting! the more you listen to it, the mroe you appreciate it. you may also know unkle from doing other collaborations with noel gallagher, thom yorke and richard ashcroft. ...

Advantages: No problems on 2nd album - another masterpiece
Disadvantages: May not appeal to all those that bought 'Dummy'

Darker and more challenging than its predecessor, Portishead's 2nd album is likely to challenge many of the fans that bought 'Dummy'. Nevertheless, the band do stick to the formula of scratchings, samples and trip-hop beats all immersed against Beth Gibbons' confrontational vocals. Whilst not as bleak in outlook as their first album, several tracks do continue in the same mood as 'Dummy' and "Undenied" is clearly the 'Roads' of this album. Many ...

The closing track - "Western Eyes" - based solely around a few piano chords, ends with the lyric sample: "this mess we're in"...a suggestion for collective sadness and not self pity? In the end, this is a superb follow up which highlights a band who are not only in control of their musical direction, but far superior to many of the peers in their field. I have actually got Spiller "Groovejet (If This ain't Love)" single on vinyl. I bought it from HMV, in 2006 for about £3 brand new. It has two tracks on it; "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)-Extended Vocal Mix" with Sophie Ellis-Bextor 07:27 and "Groovejet-Solar Stone's Jet Groove Dub Mix". 05:55 It is essentially a DJ's copy but I play it myself. Disadvantages: Two weak tracks, nothing major.

This 2CD compilation by Jay Burnett is very, very good. CD1 is relatively poor compared to CD2, which is amazing. Alternative mixes of Dido, Spiller "Cry Baby", Motorcycle "When the rush comes". David Bowie vs Scumfrog appears with an excellent "Loving The Alien". "Janeiro" by Solid Sessions is so, so chilled and takes my mind to another dimension.
