This is simply the best album I have ever heard in any genre of music, ever. Simon Posford and Raja Ram (aka Hallucinogen and part of The Infinity Project; veterans of the psy-trance scene) manage to perfectly fuse psy-trance, dub and glitchy downtempo into something quite remarkable. ...describe the sound of the crystal castles could be to imagine your old atari or nintendo assaulting you with its soundcard from across the room, with some tracks sounding like a balls-out thrash. this is some of the best drum and bass out there. however, it is not pendulum's best material. the best song on this album is granite. i would definitely recommend this to electronic and drum and bass fans but not so much to the techno fans. pendulum is amazing though, they have a truly addictive sound and every song is an extraordinary work of art, this album is an example of that. i recently went to one of their concerts and they are amazing live!! ...
