Advantages: You won't be baffled by this one
Disadvantages: It seems as though the songs were spare and they threw them all together on one album

...Like most people, I had already heard and loved both The Best of the Doors and The Doors Soundtrack, so when I had the opportunity to be proud owner of all six albums (Christmas time, of course), I was a very happy girl. In true 'super fan' style, I listened to each album on the same day, and it was a very strange ride indeed. Being a big Doors fan, I don't like to say bad things about them. Each album holds its own appeal and show the progression made by songwriter and band alike. Morrison Hotel is no exception from the rule. After the Soft Parade was released and barely survived the criticism, people were not looking forward to the next offering. Morrison Hotel could be seen as the clarity after the mid-life crisis. In this review I'm going to look at the original Very album CD, plus the bonus CD features on the remastered CD. ********** CD ONE ********** Can You forgive Her? Can You forgive her was a single off the album and was used as the opening track to the album. It's an upbeat, camp and also quite comical song (if you listen to the lyrics in detail.)
