Advantages: The sound quality is outstanding

...I'm only 26, but I grew-up on "Rumours" (as well as the Peter Green era "Greatest Hits"). This was the cassette constantly on in the car every summer holiday (well, that's how it seemed)! And as a Grand Prix fan, whenever I hear that bass-line, I can see those Formula One cars revving their engines! Just when I thought I'd bought every FM album there was, they remastered & expanded my favourite. Well, there was no way I wasn't going to buy it! From Lindsey's opening guitar of 'Second Hand News' to Stevie's howl closing 'Gold Dust Woman', this is so much *better* than I remember. The sound is incredible {as is the DVD audio version}. The inclusion of 'Silver Springs' (the full version of which was too long for the original vinyl, and had to be replaced with the shorter 'I Don't Want to Know'), gives us Rumours almost as it should... Advantages: a slow burning masterpiece

...Its fair to say that you would have to have at least a passing interest in the psychedelic era to be interested in this record ,but if that,s already established and you havent heard this timeless beauty then now is the time ! The legend of Love and Forever Changes has grown steadily over the last 35 years or so ,from hard to find obscurity to expanded and celebrated masterpiece ,if youve heard anything of this album then it would almost certainly be the opening track "Alone Again or",with its Mexican flavoured climax awash with trumpets and Spanish guitar ,this however does not typify the rest of the album though its constituent parts do shape its sound ,"A House is not a Hotel"comes off the blocks with a guitar powered sprint and sparing trumpet with the whole thing coming to an abrupt end following a viscious two note guitar...
