Where Did All The Legends Go?
Review of New Beginnings Of Old Stories - 4ft Fingers by  RazzaLazza

Advantages: The album is fun to listen to, the tracks strong to sing along to.
Disadvantages: All of the bands other albums are a lot better, the tracks all lack passion.

...'New Beginnings Of Old Stories' is the fourth studio album from the UK skate punk band that is 4ft Fingers. The album consists of twelve tracks and if you've ever heard one of the bands albums in the past then you can expect more of the same from 4ft Fingers here. Never has the band's sound developed much and always when 4ft Fingers returns with any new material, you always know what to expect; good solid skate punk music. The album begins with the fairly catchy 'Where Did All The Legends Go?', progresses with the punchy 'Thick As Thieves', never do you feel here though that the band ever really gets properly into its stride. The album is okay, I don't feel that it showcases 4ft Fingers at the band's very best however and always here the energy levels seem to be a little lacking. From start to finish the album is always enjoyable to... Read review

Legend - Bob Marley & The Wailers
Review of Legend [Remastered] - Bob Marley by  Essexgirl2006

Advantages: Fantastic tracks, very listenable album
Disadvantages: Sun is SHining is not on it

...Since seeing The Wailers perform at the London Rise Against Racism festival, it reminded me of how many great songs they have in their repertoire with Bob Marley and decided it was long overdue to buy a Best Of compilation. The album starts off with Is This Love the Marley penned classic from 1978 and the song really needs no introduction. It was taken from the Kaya album, which revolved around the duel themes of love and marijuana, and this instance the song was about love. It is a beautiful song, and certainly at the Rise concert, got the crowd singing. It is followed by No Woman, No Cry originally from the Natty Dread album and is about the struggle of life in the Trenchtown, the rundown part of Kingston, Jamaica where Bob grew up with his mother after his father died. The version of the song on Legend is not from Natty Dread... Read review

John Legend - Once Again - A masterclass in music
Review of Once Again - John Legend (1) by  benharrison482

Advantages: A great easy-listening album where every song sounds a classic
Disadvantages: Could this follow on from the success of the first album?

...This is the follow up to the extremely successful album 'Get Lifted', and many people were wondering if John Legend could produce something even nearly as good as his first album. Well he's done even better. The album is full of retro music with a fresh modern beat, all embelished by his amazing vocal abililty and song-writing capabilities. The album begins with 'Save Room', the first single and it sets you up for a great album. It has a classic feel with an RnB twist, which has worked for him in the past with songs like 'Number 1' and 'I Used To Love You'. His vocal range is really outstanding in this song and the lyrics really paint a picture. Other stand-out tracks are 'Heaven', 'Again' and 'Where Did My Baby Go?'. Heaven is the second single and uses an old sample to give this song a new dimension because Legend isn... Read review
