Advantages: fantastic music
Disadvantages: Very rare recording, Very expensive

...Consort directed by Philip Picket. This is dance music, taken from Terpischore published by Michael Praetorius [c.1571-1621] in 1612. He stated in the frontice piece to the work that these dances are as the French dancing Masters play them, to entertain and delight Princely tables and banquets. Whilst the French normally used string instruments for their instruction in Dance, there was a whole wealth of other instruments available and Praetorius included bass line in some of the tunes. Other Courts used other instruments and many of these tunes would be well known through out Europe. Dance played an important role in the Renaissance court. It was a way for people to meet for one thing. Here a man could show to advantage and perhaps gain a Noble Patron. The music could be played as an accompaniment to a banquet, and whilst the chief... Advantages: good variety
Disadvantages: poor singing

...this cd is good if you want to expand your knowledge of musicals or if you enjoy musicals in general. it has a wide variety of songs from different musical genres. i like the way it is set out. one cd with songs from braodway, one with songs from the west end and one with songs from different musical films. it is a good product to learn different tastes and musical stories. one really negative point is the singers. they are very poor quality voices used. they aren't good at singing and do not show the characters through the song which is very important in musicals. i do however despite that enjoy listening to this cd and would definatly buy it if you want to expand your musical knowledge.... Now This Is What You Call Great Music
Review of Now That's What I Call Music Vol.68 - Various Artists by  just.bcoz

Advantages: Great songs. great artists, great value for money
Disadvantages: some crappy songs

...I have been buying the "Now" CD's for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I often recieved them as birthday or christmas presents because of my love of music. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ About The CD ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now 68 was released to the public on Monday 19th November 2007. The CD's proper name is "Now That's What I Call Music" but it is often just shortened to Now. There are 3 Now CD's released every year, one around easter time, one in the summer and one in mid November. Now 68 is a 2 disc compilation CD which has 44 tracks in total on it. Each disc contains 22 songs on them sung by different artists and pop groups. ~~~~~~~~~~ The Cover ~~~~~~~~~~ The front cover of Now 68 is really bright, bold and colourful. It is a really simplistic design, and the use of colour on the cover is really eyecatching. Now Thats... Read review
