Alex’s favourite. Wow. The demo showed so much charm, so does the finalised track live up? Yes. The one criticism is the removal of the gunshot, but if you overlook that the track has been mastered to perfection. Webisodes have shown clips of this song and the radio even gave us a preview, but nothing could prepare you for the beautiful chords, ... ...Gay’ song [it’s like an Elliot Minor fan private joke] has had a huge revamp since the demo that made me smile for ages. Another favourite, you find yourself moving in time to the track as Alex’s voice loses the choir tone in silently and instead the rockier edge is shown as you hear him smiling as he sings. A lot less classical than the others, it’s a crowd favourite that will have you moving [or I can push you in time, I ...

Advantages: Excellent from start to finish, an absolutely sensational début album. Disadvantages: Only eleven tracks are present on this album.
...'ElliotMinor' is the début album from the band of the same name. There are eleven tracks on display here and it must be said that this is an exquisitely fine display of music from the York based quintet that is ElliotMinor. The music contains a great beauteous quality throughout the entirety of this album and never does the slick musical skill of the five members of ElliotMinor here disappoint.
The album gets going with 'Time After Time', a fine track to begin this release with and one that sets the mood nicely. It's by no means the best track from this album, it is however a fine way to start and right from the offset here the music of ElliotMinor grabs you and gains your full undivided attention. The album has plenty to offer and listening to 'ElliotMinor' is therefore an exciting and greatly entertaining experience...

Advantages: Songs are good for whatever mood you are in Disadvantages: Some inexperience with the song writing
...ElliotMinor with their debut, self-titled album (11 tracks). The band hailing from York, England, are all classically trained musicians, between them they can play violin, cello, piano, clarinet, double bass and saxophone. After hearing the songs they released on the radio and various music channels you can hear the blend of classical music (if you imagine it updated and played with guitars) with more modern genres such as punk, indie and metal. This combination of genres makes for an original yet awesome style of music.
I decided that when they went on tour I would go see them. Between me deciding I really liked this band, and tickets for the tour going on sale, I managed to get my girlfriend hooked. Once discovering she liked them too, I found out a lot of her friends also did, and that the popularity of ElliotMinor was growing...

Advantages: The different alternatveness off the band Disadvantages: it has to end :(
...Depending on what kind of music you like, what music channels you watch on the million and one generic satellite services there are, or which of the radio stations you listen to will have a bearing on the likelihood of you having heard of ElliotMinor.
To be honest they aren't a band that have played shy from the limelight, but they have certainly provided those of us who have known the group through obscurity, with a few laughs, giggles and smiles with their online blogs on you tube and featured on their Myspace page. Following their way to success and popularity. Or at least as popular as they are for the moment.. Maybe their popularity will grow.. Fingers crossed..!
For many bands nowadays exposure is a difficult thing to come by, with so much music and limited airspace on mainstream channels and radio stations. So for the past...
