To be honest they aren't a band that have played shy from the limelight, but they have certainly provided those of us who have known the group through obscurity, with a few laughs, giggles and smiles with their online blogs on you tube and featured on their Myspace page. Following their way to success and popularity. Or at least as popular as they are for the moment.. Maybe their popularity will grow.. Fingers ... ...a kick back to the Elliot Minor style of the songs before..!
5. Lucky Star .. 3.01
From the beginning this song sounds more like a conventional alternative bands song, but there soon seems to be differences that set it aside from other songs.. For a starter from the more mellow beginning you wouldn't expect such a quick up of tempo, however this does do the song justice. Making the lyrics seem more urgent as the guitars seem to get more quick paced ...

Liar Is You Review ofElliot Minor - Elliot Minorby
RazzaLazza
Advantages: Excellent from start to finish, an absolutely sensational début album. Disadvantages: Only eleven tracks are present on this album.
...York based quintet that is Elliot Minor. The music contains a great beauteous quality throughout the entirety of this album and never does the slick musical skill of the five members of Elliot Minor here disappoint.
The album gets going with 'Time After Time', a fine track to begin this release with and one that sets the mood nicely. It's by no means the best track from this album, it is however a fine way to start and right from the offset here ... ...ever caught my attention from Elliot Minor, I had not previously seen the appeal of the bands music but this is a track that I most definitely absolutely love. It's just so catchy, the chorus is brilliant and the melody absolutely fantastic. It's a fine display of pop punk, one of the finest songs in the genre I have ever heard in fact.
The music on this album is not all as fast and frantic as is displayed with the bands single releases, there are ...

The band hailing from York, England, are all classically trained musicians, between them they can play violin, cello, piano, clarinet, double bass and saxophone. After hearing the songs they released on the radio and various music channels you can hear the blend of classical music (if you imagine it updated and played with guitars) with more modern genres such as punk, indie and metal. ... ...and that the popularity of Elliot Minor was growing fast.
When an offer of a pre-public release album was available from their official website, I jumped at the opportunity and pre-ordered the album. It arrived 2 days before the official public release date. This coincidentally coincided with me seeing the band the night before. The band were awesome live, and I had high expectations for the album. The next day the packaged arrived, so I put the ...

Album Notes: Debut album from hotly-touted young York band who bring their classical training to bear on rock music, producing a bombastic strain of piano-led pop-punk that has seen attention lavished on them by the UK's rock press and drawn comparisons with the likes of Something Corporate, Son Of Dork, Good Charlotte, The Click Five and Cute Is What We Aim For. Produced by Jim Wirt (Hoobastank, Something Corporate), the album contains all four of their top 40 singles including their biggest hit 'Still Figuring Out'.
