How can i find a a disadvantage with someone so perfect when it comes to music this album is a must for any Elvis fan.
This is a faultless album that i have played over and over i never get tired of these hits and nor will you.
These songs are from his early days with RCA and his later days real classics and heart warming songs.
1. Heartbreak Hotel A very raw 50's rockabilly style sound with matching lyrics with a good guitar solo using a echo effect to the whole song.
2. Don't Be Cruel Again a 50's classic with plenty of subtle slightly muffled echo effect.
3. Hound Dog A rockabilly sound with a bad boy type atmosphere about it.
4. Love Me Tender A classic 50's love song, some marriages were made of this.
5. Too Much 6. All Shook Up Another song in which he uses rockabilly
style with a hint of slapback bass with deep vocals.
7. Teddy Bear An early classic with excellent delivery, rockabilly type delivery with deep vocals and notation changes.**Excellent**
8. Jailhouse Rock A rockabilly style jailhouse type song, though songs about jails have been created and written before none match this original classic.
9. Don't A love song with a kind of negative side to it, obviously don't is a negative word but the whole lyrics carry this to an excellent effect.
10. Hard Headed Woman A fast paced rockabilly style both in guitar and lyrics a real mix of attributes from trumpet to bass.
11. One Night Another raw classic a personal favourite of mine and many others from the croaky voice and slow guitar style and subtle slap bass**excellent**
12. Now And Then There's A Fool Such As I This one has a sad feel about it with the deep vocal from backing and remembering the past type lyrics with a true feel of love.**Excellent**
13. Big Hunk O'Love A true rockabilly early song with echo reverb and pace, bass guitar brought foreward slightly with a piano style forefront in the music.**Excellent**
14. Stuck On You A good early style of lyrics and guitar tones with a hint of echo and a typical rockabilly type baseline.
15. Its Now Or Never A real classic that i think everyone has heard what a powerful delivery of vocals and then changing to subtleness**Excellent**
16. Are You Lonesome Tonight A slow drifty type song thats got a feeling of saddness but in someways viewed as a romantic song, simple tones from the guitar.
17. Wooden Heart A catchy song brought onto his album from the movie GI Blues.
18. Surrender A classic Elvis style delivery and use of notation.
19. Marie's The Name Of His Latest Flame Good lyrics with good baseline to promote the qualitys of the song.
20. Can't Help Falling In Love Another mariage creating and romancing type song with good harmonics and meaningfull lyrics.
21. Good Luck Charm Another slow moving plod along type song with good backing and deep vocals and backing singers excellent harmonics.
22. She's Not You A song that shows he loves someone else, excellent use of lyrics and feelings passed through his delivery.
23. Return To Sender A catchy song about a letter of love, good saxaphone and drum bass line.
24. You're The Devil In Disguise A catchy 60's style song where the change in his musical direction is evident.
25. Crying In The Chapel A very slow moving almost sombre track with a piano and vocals as the main focus.
26. In The Ghetto A deep meaning and powerful song which is thought provoking a good use of the simple background track.
27. Suspicious Minds A definate changing point for Elvis in his musical style.
28. Wonder Of You A meaningful song again a romantic feel with heartfelt passion.
29. Burning Love A fast paced song with get up and go type delivery with good effects but again pointing at a change in his style very 70's style.
30. Way Down A good delivery of an old gospel song perfectly done by Elvis obviously due to his gospel upbringing.**Excellent**
31. Little Less Conversation (Radio Mix) A modern release.
This album also has extra Rehearsal and take scenes which makes this a really special purchase of quality music from a quality performer.
Mothers day, Fathers day, Valentines day, Birthdays, Sorrys or just plain old i love you gifts for all.
Unwrap put in the cd player sit back and drift into a wonderful place of relaxation and thoughts.
A definate must buy.
Though the album cover could have had more thought put into it.
