Elvis R&B [Remastered] - Elvis Presley

Advantages: a great front cover
Disadvantages: Doesn't hae any song lyrics with it

...I love Elvis Presley soooooo much. i'm even named after his daughter. His legend and his music still live on today amd remain with us till the end of mankind.In my opinion i would suggest this cd to anybody because it is a really good cd. He is definately number 1 after all this time and will remain in my heart as number for the rest of my life. I was brought up listening to Elvis Presley and i've always been a big fan. All of his cd's are very good and i buy just about every Elvis Preley cd i see and i like to watch all of his films which are all very good. Advantages: Two bona fide Elvis classics
Disadvantages: A patchy album overall

...By the mid 1970's The King had matured into a stellar MOR performer and recorded some of his greatest songs, though consistency was still a problem and this album is no different from a few others he made at the time, having some overall excellent vocal work (by 1973 in my opinion he was sounding as good as he was in 1956) let down more than once by some weaker filler material on his LP's, a situation not helped by the two-album-a-year deal he was in at the time. Any artist, whoever they are, would struggle to produce two geniunely listenable albums in a 12 month span. So it was to Stax Studios in Memphis that the Elvis entourage headed in December 1973; the original plan was to record with some of the house musicians there but sadly things didn't work out and the Presley live band were drafted in to back him up... ...Elvis Country I’m sitting here at the PC (Ross’ PC) thinking about something to write about and on the stereo beside me Elvis Country is playing. I remember this from when I was young hm! Hm! Two or three years ago. I had the vinyl 33 LP. it had a picture of Elvis as a wee boy and I remember right he was two years old. In the original LP they included a postcard with Elvis and his Mum and Dad, Gladys and Vernon. Now I’m handing this over to Ross to do the technical jargon. The version that I am referring to was released in 2000, and contains all twelve tracks from the original LP plus six other songs that were recorded at the same session. All songs were recorded at the same time. In 1970 Elvis held a marathon recording session that covered many albums. These include Elvis Sings the Wonderful World... Read review
