Advantages: Different and really visual Disadvantages: Hard to appreciate
Discovery
As far as music goes, I love it all, I always find my taste varying as I discover new artists, I love rock, pop, hip hop, old and new, everything.
Empire of the Sun is something really different. I discovered them about three or four months ago when one of the songs was played on the radio and I was desperate to hear more.
I could not find out who they were and eventually the tune faded from my head, when I then stumbled across the song again I remembered as many words a possible and Googled the lyrics, found out who they were and bought their album from Amazon.
Who are they?

Advantages: Yummy, quick and easy. Disadvantages: Once you have one, you may want another and another and if your my flatmates....ANOTHER!
Coming from Scotland but now living in London, I love nothing better than some traditional Scottish treats now and then to remind me of my roots amongst all the hustle and bustle of the London life that I adore. When I visited a friend recently she had baked some wonderful empire biscuits which she declared were "fool proof". So taking her up on her "fool proof" challenge I decided to get the chef hat on and give them a go. I love cooking and I think I'm actually quite a good cook for a 22 year old, however, I always seem to make really lousy puddings....they always go wrong and either end up tasting like charcoal or a dodgy floury omelette that even the dog would turn its nose up at. I'm a savoury girl at heart anyway.
So what is an empire biscuit you may ask??

Advantages: Great addition to any CD collection Disadvantages: Does not live up to the hype their first album produced
It has been a long time since I wrote review so I hope this goes alight. Lets just cut to the chase. I thought I would hark back to one of my favourite type of reviews, the album review.
Since I last lurked the halls of Ciao I have become interested in the new wave of bands. The likes of The Feeling, Keane and Scissor Sisters are reviews that I no doubt will do in the coming months but for this review Kasabian's latest offering Empire will provide the viewer with written joy.
