Her voice has some some technical problems but still Charlotte Church's voice is very beautiful! This album brings up some of her non-classical abilities which I think should be more explored.
Tonight - An emotive opening ... ...strong with a lot of horns in the orchestra.
Carrickfergus - A very very sweet folkloric piece about love, it's got some poppy beats along with the orchestra but it's still very beautiful, there's a videoclip for this music.
Habanera - I just love Church's reedition of Carmen's Habanera, the most special thing is the arrangement made by canadian guitar player Jesse Cook, it's very very latin and hot, like Carmen should ... more

Tonight - An emotive opening song, from the famous musical by Leonard Bernstein, it's very strong with a lot of horns in the orchestra.
Carrickfergus - A very very sweet folkloric piece about love, it's got some poppy beats along with the orchestra but it's still very beautiful, there's a videoclip for this music.
Habanera - I just love Church's reedition of Carmen's Habanera, the most special thing is the arrangement made by canadian guitar player Jesse Cook, it's very very latin and hot, like Carmen should be!
Bali Ha'i - Another piece from a musical (South pacific) , very peaceful at the beggining and it really makes you think of something like the title "South Pacific" , it's exciting and gradious!
Papa can you hear me - Made famous by Barbra Streisand, it's one more emotive piece from another musical (Yentl) , this piece also grows and then explodes there are some lovely strings , and at the end a very high sviolin solo with |Charlotte's voice! Beautiful!
The flower duet - the 2nd classical piece - the flower duet is suposed to be sung by 2 people but here Charlotte duets with herself, very interesting to see the same voice singing 2 different melodies at the same time in great unissono!
The little horses - Another piece arranged by the great Jesse Cook with guitars and latin percussion this is a lovely lulaby and charlotte's voice go very well with it!
From my first moment - Very emotive l song about love at first glance, I'd say, gorgeous! It's just charlotte and an acoustic guitar, at some point there's a violin solo that is very pretty!
The water is wide - Another folkloric piece, it's sad! The melodie goes with the lyrics, with a very sad/nostalgic feeling!
Cant' help lovin dat man - Lovely jazzy piece that goes perfectly with Charlotte's voice, Charlotte shoudl specialize in this kind of music , it really works for her.
The laughing song- Another classical piece translated to english, it's a funny song (as the title sugests) the original is in german, and here you can see some really high notes from Charlotte!
If I loved you - From the musical carrousel , it's very pretty and exciting at the end it's soo soo strong that makes me wanna cry sometimes, I have seen the one from the original movie but charlotte's version is at the same or even better level of quality!
A bit of earth - This one makes me cry , it's from The Secret Garden, this piece is along with Habanera my favorite from the album , it's sad and yet glorious the melody is sooooooo sooooooooo pretty !
Somewhere - from West Side Story , originally a duet it's not as strong as Tonight, but you get the feeling and the idea that we see in the cinematic version of it!
The Prayer - A song about faith and love, sung with Josh Groban , it was apparently recorded at a different studio cause it sounds different from the rest, but still grandious specially for the last track of the cd. A curiosity is that in alll her albums Charlotte Church has at keast one song with some special guest, in Voice of an Angel it was brazilian tenor Agnaldo Rayol and in Dream a Dream it was Billy Gilman.
Overall a great album! Not for true opera lovers, but it was a good start for many as me who nowadays know who were Callas, Tebaldi, Kathleen Battle, thanks to Charlotte Church.

Advantages: You will never stop playing this album Disadvantages: You will never stop playing this album and it will take over your life
Only on rare occasions in ones life does something musically magical grace ones ears.
To be honest I only bought the album because i bought the "Bring me to life" single cd but found out too late it was the DVD version and I didn't have a DVD player at the time. So I bought the album as it worked out cheaper in the long run and now, never has one album been played so much in such a short time and never have I bought three copies of a cd album before(one damaged, one stolen).
And why? Well this group are a little bit different. There are plenty of Linkin Parkesque bands on the market but what makes Evanescence stand out and makes them different is the haunting yet melodic tones of female vocalist and co founder Amy Lee, ( who resembles CharlotteChurch dressed as a goth). There is something enchanting about a female gothic ...

If you can get into Enya, then this is in my opinion the best of her 5 albums and is a very passionate and romantic album, which is great with a glass of wine, candles, nice food, an open fire, followed by...........
