Blink 182, finally burst onto the scene after with the main Uk release album, Enema of the State, to join there other imported and digitally remastered albums, including Budha. The new album, though kicks some serious ass. Each song, provides a thrilling 2 - 3 minutes of velocity, and mind numbing flair. The opening riffs are inspiring and catchy, and you can help singing along to the humourously crude lyrics, song in true Punk flava, by Sir Mark Hoppus.
The most exciting thing, though is that there Blink 182, has spawned a variety of Punk-esque creations. Oetis, arriving on the Uk scene, coupled by the likes of the longer standing, Vandals, and American based Tonics, Dishwalla, and SuperTransatlantic. Each is providing a cunniong link between pop and rock, which is light-hearted, lifting and continuously exciting. I, for one see the Punk era as on the horizon. The seem to have captured the very essence of Teenage angst, and found a stunning balance, of lyrical competence, and spectacular riffs.
