Advantages: The ups, the downs, the shudders, the shakes Disadvantages: The yearning for another tour date
...Double disc heaven if you're a Crows fan. Duritz and company showcase their neverending talents on VH1 Storytellers (disc 1) and the New YorkCity date of the Recovering the Satellites tour (disc 2). This really is one for the already converted.
If you loved August, disc 1 will blow you away - versions of Mr Jones and Anna Begins send shudders down the spine, as ever. But perhaps the secret gem is Angels of the Silences, given a very clever makeover and transformed from roaring electric show-starter to gentle acoustic ballad.
The New York gig stays with more traditional versions of favourites from the Crows' first two albums, but proves just how imperative it is to see these guys live. Murder of One sums up all the reasons why....

..."This is an adventure into that downtown New YorkCity vibe" ~ Armand Van Helden
For me Armand Van Helden is a dance music legend, as a child of the nineties I grew up listening to his house and techno classics. He is thee man. This the guy responsible for making Tori Amos "Professional Widow" and The Sneeker Pimps "Spin Spin Sugar" massive hits. As well as producing some damn fine house records himself such as "You Don't Know Me" and "The Funk Phenomena". His artist albums have never failed to impress; he always tries something new and inventive. As a DJ he is a master of the decks with all the tricks up his sleeve, he can mix everything thing from house and techno to hiphop and ragga. If he's playing at a club he's still sure to be the hottest ticket in town.
Armand started DJ-ing at the age of 15, he spent a lot of his childhood...
