The year of 1993 was a big step for all fans of music influential rappers like N.W.A. and public enemy come to a holt and it was up to someone to fill the void. West Coast G-Funk was filling the spot with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg ruling the Hip-Hop charts people wanted something more gritty and Underground. Step forward The Wu-Tang Clan armed with street style rapping and catchy beats Wu-Tang made the rap scene back to the street.

The Wu-Tang Clan consists of then 8 members RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Raekwon and perhaps there most famous and influential member Method Man. This group like many before started of underground and then attracted attention. The group were made famous when there demo tape of tearz no.11 on the album fell into the right hands and it went from there.

Here is the track list for enter the 36 chambers

Shaolin Sword
1. Bring Da Ruckus
2. Shame On A N***a
3. Clan In Da Front
4. Wu-Tang : 7th Chamber
5. Can It Be All So Simple

Wu-Tang Sword
6. Da Mystery Of Chessboxin'
7. Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthin Ta F**k With
8. C.R.E.A.M.
9. Method Man
10. Protect Ya Neck
11. Tearz
12. Wu-Tang : 7th Chamber Part 2
13. Method Man (Skunk Remix)

There are two sides to this album and nobody could argue which one was more successful. The wu-tang sword side has 4 chart releases in America which did rather well they are as follows:

Da Mystery Of Chessboxin'
-------------------------
This song has hardly any beats to it but they fill the song with pure raw style rapping which really shows there abilities as quality rappers without background music most people wouldn't hold there nerve but these guys pull it off to great affect.

C.R.E.A.M.
-------------------------
This word is an acronym for Cash Rules Everything Around Me and shows a different side to the wu. On this track they tell you about their childhood’s and how life is hard in the ghetto. The song is really catchy due to the excellent piano verse in the chorus which underlines they do more than rap.

Method Man
-------------------------
This song should go down in history because its one of the best solo rap song in history the track is done by the method man and he really shows his class in this song. The combination of a catchy chorus, good beats and quality rapping is the perfect mix in this classic song

Protect Ya Neck
-------------------------
This is a more dark song, which makes many references to violence, which is frequent in rap albums anyway. This song isn't one of the more popular songs but I think it deserves to be up there with the best of the wu-tang songs

This album is a real rap classic and I know many people my age wouldn't of heard the original album because it was made way back in 1993. I advice anybody who likes rap music to buy this album because it shows the raw style of the wu-tang which is enjoyable to listen to.

The album can be bought from all music retailers and is a very reasonable £6.99 in musiczone which is a real snip so buy it NOW!!!
