This was the album that announced the arrival of the Wu-Tang clan and begun a global phenomena. At the time it was like nothing else out there with the Wu’s kung fu imagery (and samples) and masked faces. The track “Method Man” was the first to blow up but it is for classics like “C.R.E.A.M.” (cash rules everything around me) and the Gladys Knight sampling “Can It All Be So Simple” that this album will be remembered. The production is all RZA, and all excellent and as raw as some of the lyrics in places.

Review of W, The - Wu-TangClan
Advantages: Nice guest rappers like Ghostface and Raekwon turn up at AFTERPARTY and THE TURN respectively. Disadvantages: The lyrics from Method man are disgusting and the musical production is revolting! SAY WHAT?
