Another good album from Catatonia. This album is a lot softer than the previous album International Velvet. They've taken on a new air of calm which is clearly displayed in the songs on Equally Cursed and Blessed. I personally prefer the more powerful International Velvet but this album is also very good. There are those few upbeat songs - like Karaoke Queen - which are happy yet still not as powerful as the likes of Road Rage, but most of the songs on this album are a lot more peaceful and relaxed with songs like Londinium, Bulimic Beats and Shoot the Messenger. A good album to put your feet up and relax to really.
