Escape From Monster Island - Monster Island Czars

Advantages: Really impressive action adventure score, one of the best of 2005
Disadvantages: Some action scenes a little unremarkable

...INTRODUCTION After tackling with the giant undertaking of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and garnering so much critical and popular (as well as Oscar) success, director Peter Jackson had things pretty sweetly in his pocket, allowing him to basically do what ever he wanted. So with the studios more than willing to let Jackson have free reign over what to do next, he went in a completely different direction from the literary fantasy genre to a cinematic icon: King Kong. King Kong is of course one of the most famous movies ever made, involving a big ape being transported to New York from an obscure island as a spectacular new exibition only to escape, wreack havoc on the city, kidnap the pretty female lead, and climb to the top of the Empire State Building only to be fall down with a big thump. Advantages: Loads of wicked dance songs, from the film, and well known commercial ones
Disadvantages: A few weak songs, but dont let that put you off because its wicked

...The classic dance movements that everyone seems to do in the night clubs. Although liking Harry Enfields work, has nothing to do with the compilation soundtrack, to the movie. I felt i should put a little background before my opinion of the CD. The films about two sex starved teenagers, who are destined to lose their virginity on holiday, and become super star DJ's. They go to the massive club island of Ibiza. They try their best to impress two lovely ladies , who according to the Amnesia doorman, are "monsters", but Kev n Perry dont think so. They stumble upon one of the best clubs on the island, "Amnesia". they spend most of their nights there, also trying to impress, only this time it's a DJ, "eyeball paul". Inside the club, theres some massive tunes, and these along with others from the film, are on the soundtrack. CD1... Read review

Advantages: Perfectly constructed songs, good if you like radio-friendly music
Disadvantages: Sometimes sound rather detached

...The debut album proper from Icelanders Bellatrix, but they have actually been around a while. Whereas a lot of their Scandinavian contemporaries tend to create music of the esoteric persuasion (cf: Sigur Ros,) Bellatrix simply make indie-pop of the highest order. The length of time Bellatrix have been together means they have honed their tunesmith skills to perfection. 'It's All True' begins with three records that have been released as singles, namely 'Sweet Surrender,' 'The Girl With The Sparkling Eyes,' and the recently released 'Jediwannabe.'
