Advantages: A LOT of music for NOT a lot of money
Disadvantages: May be illegal under U.S. copyright law?

This 10-CD set, like all the Membran/Documents sets, contains 200 or more tracks (210, here) recorded by this artist...or about ten hours of the music of Thomas "Fats" Waller! As such, it makes a VERY pleasant way to spend the time. To make it even better, the tracks on the Waller set do NOT seem to be from his many Victor/Bluebird 78's, but from another unknown (to me) source, such as transcriptions. Transfer quality appears to me (although I can't guarantee the absolute accuracy of my aging ears...?!) to be perfectly acceptable; further, if these tracks are indeed from transcriptions (or a similar source), they are effectively previously unreleased. They do, though, showcase "Fats" at his best...as musician, vocalist and performer. Further, these German-made multi-CD sets are usually sold for VERY affordable prices (I bought my copy ...

Fats Weller Original 1939 Transcriptions

Advantages: For lovers of Jazz music
Disadvantages: May be not interesting to someone who dislike Jazz music.

My Experience Well, I like the music of Fats Weller, hence I liked a lot my first listening to this CD I bought in the year of the centennial, 2004. I have been listening to this Cd a few time since when I bought it. Problably you need a previous experience in listening jazz music, to fully enjoy this songs, but anyway it is a great music to listen to. I suggest you to buy it, at seen on ciao.co.uk My knowledge of Fats Weller This is music to dance, and not simply to listen to. So was the music of Fats Waller: the brilliant artist of Harlem (New York) which in 2004 marked the centennial of the birth. An Essence of Brilliance!

Advantages: Gorgeous scent, will last you a while, leaves hair soft and shiny
