Advantages: Wide range of music, superb musicians Disadvantages: Accents may take time to understand, IRA references may offend
...What do you do when you are drunk?
No I mean really drunk. When you senses have left you and you find yourself collapsed on the sofa.
What do you think of?
What do you want?
When I'm a bit the worse for wear I want many things ( best not to go into them now but I'm sure you could guess most of them) but there is one thing I know will satisfy. The Dublinerscollection is the perfect CD for this occassion.
*** The Band ***
The Dubliners are not your run of the mill Irish band. Oh no, to be sure there not! They had a top ten hit in the UK in 1967 with Seven Drunken Nights and they have had hits with Black Velvet Band and Never Wed an Old Man.
They take there name from the James Joyce novel ( if you have read this hats off to you; I am an English graduate and I still have yet to tackle it). They play Irish folk music and are a five...

Advantages: chilled out happy tunes Disadvantages: variety of artists not just R&B
...I loved this CD collection, it has a fantastic range of artists on it, which allows for the CD to appeal to all diffent types of individuals, it says that it is am essential R&B collection yet i woul say that some of the variety of songs are also Hip Hop and possibly slightly dance tracks. Fantastic for singing along to when your in the car, exspecially in this nice weather. Containes a mix of various tracks from present day, back to the some oldies such as Bobbi Brown, which is always good to hear from time to time. Has some classic's from Destinys child to Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys, this CD collection gives off a positive happy vibe, which is what we all need when the summer is on its way....

Advantages: A good collection of 20 songs from the 40 years, Good drinking tunes Disadvantages: Nowhere near a big enough compilation of their best songs.
...Well as I mentioned in my 100th op I was going to do some different style music ops. Well the first on my list is the Dubliners. Now many of you will know I'm a London Irish fan and I like a pint of Guinness as much (maybe more depending who it is) as the next person. What you probably don't know is that in our house not a day has gone past that an Irish song hasn't rung out around the living room.
The Dubliners are probably one of the favourites in our house and having been going for almost 41 years the band are still playing together and still sound as good as the day they started. Since 1962 there have been 10 members of the band at various part but in the main the band have kept as much of the original line up as they could. When they did make a chance it was normally some one established in their own right to come in and help out...
