Those who love him, love him with a passion. Those who don't have probably never heard of him!! Jeff Buckley is one of the most influential artists of modern times, having shaped the sound of famous names such as Coldplay, Radiohead and Muse with his utterly unique and otherworldly voice, 'almost-not-there' songwriting style, and deceptively innovative guitar style. He also counting amongst his admirers Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, David Bowie and Bob Dylan - an artists' artist. France was the first country to fully embrace his music (even above his native USA and especially his own record company!), and this, along with the fact that Jeff was dead about a year later, lends an added poigniancy to this live performance at l'Olympia, Paris, in July 1995.
