Advantages: Super oven that will be the pride and joy of your home Disadvantages: Very expensive (but you are paying for quality)
Last year, during the summer, we had a large extension built onto our house and this added some extra rooms as well as largely extending our kitchen transforming it from a small square room into a large room with a dining area at one end and then the main kitchen along with an island in the middle of the room. We got all new shelving units and cupboards and everything from fridges to a dishwasher. But the centre piece of our new kitchen is now the new Aga.
What is Aga:
Aga is a company which makes one of the world's most known and finest cookers.
It is thought to be a very much British company but actually originated from Sweden and their cookers are now present in thousands of homes across the country. The actual Aga was invented by the blind Dr Gustav Dalen. It was originally designed to be a modern cooker for his home and is ...

Advantages: Beautifully written. Engaging. Enlightening. Thought provoking. Universal appeal. Disadvantages: Sad bits, but what would a book be without them?
Chaim Potok is one of my very favourite authors. His books tend to become 'friends'. This novel is no different. Davita is a little Jewish girl, living in New York in the 1930s. She moves house a great deal largely as her parents are politically active. Potok describes our tough world, and that complex time, through her young, sensitive, eyes beautifully. One of the very few constants in her life is the 'door harp' which hangs on the front door of every house she has lived in. This little harp plays gentle melodies every time the door is opened and closed. I wonder, in life, without some constants, do we become lost?
Davita explores her own security-of-being through books; with the exploration of Jewish religous teachings and practices ...
Jings, crivvens, HELP-MA-BOAB! - There's no other way to put it.
When I went to the pub a few weeks ago, all the 'Real Ale' taps were off. SACRE BLEU! No flippin' decent ale to sup. I had a couple of bottles of Becks, but those dinky bottles just wont satisfy 'sic a guid drouth' as I had (I was mighty thirsty).
GOTT IM HIMMEL mis amigos, what's a lad to do?
Rather disappointingly, the Livi Inn has a wide range of fizzy offerings on tap, especially lagers, and so I decided to drown my sorrows with something less adventurous, but thirst-quenchingly available. I settled for a cool pint of HARP LAGER.
Harp is part of the Guinness empire, but has been produced since 1959 in a separate brewery in Dundalk called... rather imaginatively... Harp Brewery.
