Advantages: Absolute comedy genius Disadvantages: That the show had to end
Last night l had the most hilarious night of my life. I am proud to say that l witnessed Mr Billy Connolly live in the WaterfrontHall in Belfast.
We bought our tickets back in May for £33 plus £2 credit card booking. At the time it this price of £35 did seem overly expensive, but after last night l consider the price worth every penny spent!
I have long been a fan of Billy, having all video’s he has released, therefore when l heard the Big Yin was playing 6 nights in Belfast – how could l resist?
As l said the tickets sold out I hours, but luckily we have a friend who works at the venue and therefore we were able to pre-book the tickets.

BelfastWaterfrontHall can be found at 2 Layon Place, Belfast, BT1 3WH. The contact telephone number is 028 90 334400. It is owns and run by Belfast City Council so ratepayers basically have funded its building and upkeep. Not only is it a concert hall it also acts as a conference and exhibition centre too.
It has been open for around 6 years or so now – purpose built with modern facilities to suit the needs of both business and entertainment. Prior to this in Belfast there was a huge void. I have lived in the city for 8 years now and it was not until April this year (2001) that l visited the WaterfrontHall.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
It looks huge from the outside. Built on the banks of the river Lagan, it overlooks the weir. It is a massive glass fronted building with 4 floors. The views are spectacular to say ...
