up until the last quarter of an hour of Evan Almighty I was confused as to what was happening in the film.It was very far fetched although it came together towards the end.I would describe this film as slightly weird.When visiting the cinema , this was not my first choice , but because the film I had planned on watching was fully booked this was my only alternative.

The main Character (Evan) appeared as a mad man throughout the film.No one believed him that he had been talking to God.God had told Evan to build an ark because there was going to be a huge flood where a dam would burst.In this film Evan was potrayed as Noah.
Weird things continued to happen to Evan throughout the film , such as everytime he shaved , his beard would grow back instantly , and when he was at work wearing a suit , God was change his outfit into a robe.weird things continued to happen to Evan until eventually he decided to take notice and began building his ark.
His progress with making the ark was shown constantly on the television.
Towards the end the police had arrived to take the ark down , Evan was given a few last minutes before they would destroy the ark.All the non-believers of Evan's 'mad story' were gathered round the ark as the final seconds were counted , when suddenly a dam nearby burst and everyone was rescued by getting inside the ark.Everyone aboard was saved! I think the message in this film is to trust your insticts.Evan knew all along that he should take note of God's advice but fought against his instict all along , until he realised he was right , and although no one thought he was at first , he proved them wrong in the end.

I would not reccommend this movie.The story is boring and drags on.The story isn't clear and the viewer is left confused.The acting wasn't brilliant either , and I think a better cast with more well known actors could have been chosen! The graphics were good and tension was built up the end as the story progressed quickly! !At the end you are left feeling that there should be more to it.Overall I give this movie a 4/10.
