Advantages: A nice concept, some big laughs. Disadvantages: A slighty bland performance from Wilson adn average effects.
Matt Saunders is an average guy with an average life, so he tries to find an average girlfriend. After rescuing her handbag from a mugger, he starts dating the unassuming and very needy Jenny Johnson. Little does he realise she's really the alter-ego of superhero G-Girl. But after dumping her because she's too clingy, he soon discovers that hell hath no fury like a (super)-woman scorned?
"Ghostbusters" director Ivan Reitman is finally back on form and it's only taken the best part of twenty years and a dozen Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicles to do it. Here he's working with a decent script, which always helps and his timing is bang on the money. He leaves a beat for you to notice the set-up, then hits the joke and moves on. And I think he's finally twigged that you can't have your entire cast overacting throughout. He mixes superhero ...
