Eve STINGS my MIND. But SCORPION is a NO, NO, NO!

Advantages: Eve and LOX are mostly sharp / Sharp lyrics, Good flow, Some Good production
Disadvantages: Some CORNY production, BLUNT choruses / TOO MANY Guest Appearances

EXPERIENCED Entering Eve's branch of the 'Ruff Ryders Territory', I was eagerly anticipating to hear more of Eve's multisyllable rhymes after having been impressed with LET ME BLOW YA MIND. But at the same time, I needed to watch out for Eve's sharp sting that is a combination of her tight delivery, mixed with natural rapping talent. 1. INTRO (0:18 min) (Not a music track) Well, the INTRO of the 'SCORPION' album doesn't get off to the sharpest of starts here. Eve wastes 18 seconds of the track just to ask this - ' ....Y'all ni**as think this is a f**kin game?....'. If any music album is to be considered a classic, the Intro should start off with some REAL music that gives an introduction to the artist's subject matter (for example listen to Jay Z's Reasonable Doubt). Review of Scorpion [PA] - Eve

Eve magazine: Perfect? Or am I just ageing?

Advantages: Funny and vibrant, good for most ages
Disadvantages: Film reviews leave a lot to be desired

through the post and skimming through the glossy pages. However, my dilemma was resolved two months ago, when I casually added a copy of Eve magazine (apparently Britain's fastest growing women's glossy) to my Tesco?s shopping trolley. This decision was mainly because it included a copy of a book by Tess Gerritsen (grisly murder novel called The Surgeon) which I hadn?t read but had been meaning to for a while now. I was pleased with my purchase, as I had a great book and a magazine for £3, and I knew that if the magazine was rubbish at least I?d saved myself a few quid on the book. Whereas Cosmo is directed at single women with no kids, but heaps of cash, Eve is aimed at a mixture of single and married (or like me ? attached with no sign of a wedding or an engagement ring!) women, who want a little more than how to have sex in twenty three ...

Eve Green

Advantages: Lovely descriptive novel, beautifully written
Disadvantages: None

A friend lent me this book this week, I started reading it yesterday afternoon having been off work with a stomach bug and finished it this morning. I had never heard of the author Susan Fletcher and wasn't aware of the novel which had won the 2004 Whitbread First Novel Award and was on the Richard and Judy Summer Read list 2005. However it transported me to the Welsh rugged countryside and helped take my mind of feeling unwell and gave me some inspiration to write another review. The story is told by Eve Green the central character in the novel and she is 29 years old and expecting her first baby. The book describes her memories from when she was 7 years old, that was when she first learnt to fully write her own name "Evangeline Green" and when her mother died. Eve (or Evie as she is also known) goes to live with her ...
